High on a ridge sits a home that reflects the tranquility of the amazing red rock formations of Sedona.  Private with unobstructed views yet in the very heart of West Sedona, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, movie theater (and rentals), and grocery stores.  Newly remodeled and furnished by one of Sedona's award wininning artists, this home has it all.  Even though the house is in a quiet neighborhood, it seems very private as it sits above the street with 360 degree views of the majestic red rocks that make Sedona unique. If you want to visit Sedona you cannot be in a better location, central to all Sedona has to offer. Why be in a house with no view when the view is what it is all about. The natural landscape invites the birds and wildlife to roam the backyard. Ravens, jays, ground squirrels, quail and javalina come and go. Hummingbirds are abundant during the summer.

Roadrunner Ridge is in the heart of West Sedona. Every month of the year has its own charm and number of events from the Sedona Film Festival, Jazz Festival, Shakespeare Festival, Art Festival, Birding Festival, something is always going on in Sedona. You are situated right in the action when you stay at Roadrunner Ridge. Hiking is about 3 blocks away and there are bikes for your use in the garage. Our dark nights are amazing and there is a telescope for your viewing pleasure. One of the nation's most scenic drives is Oak Creek Canyon just 5 minutes away which will take you to Flagstaff. There are many Indian ruins to explore and Flagstaff has one of the best museums of Native American treasures. Every weekend night there are musical events around the area, one of which should appeal to you. You can walk to everything from a Pizza palor to a movie theater to an antique shop.

Fabulous stay for family of 3

My husband, 2.5 year old and I stayed in this vacation home in early September 2009. The description on the website is very accurate but the warmth and coziness cannot be spelled out in words. This vacation home definitely feels like you're on vacation (the decor is elegant and luxurious) but in the same token is very welcoming and homey! The kitchen is thoroughly equipped so that you can make some great meals (great when you have a picky 2.5 year old), the amenities throughout the home are beyond the norm (small touches throughout), and the view outside the arizona room is amazing! Although the home is located close to everything you'll need (supermarket, restaurants and tons of shops) it is also located so that when you sit out on the porch, it truly feels like you are the only one out there. We got to experience much beauty on the porch including gorgeous sunsets, a night sky filled with millions of stars (and a telescope to enjoy them), lots of birds including hummingbirds, and tranquility (nice, quiet neighborhood). However, just a short driving distance away we got to hike some phenomenal trails. We loved our vacation to Sedona and staying at the home on Roadrunner Ridge made it an experience that we would consider again and again (as well as highly recommend to our family and friends). The homeowner (Diane) was also wonderful to work with! Oh, I wish I was back there now :) Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy because the time flies by quickly!

Peaceful and Serene Home

What a beautiful home! Although the description was completely accurate, there is no way to explain the peaceful and serene feeling of the property. The home was spotless and well maintained. The location of the property proved to be perfect for our daily excursions. There are wonderful places to eat, Pizza Heaven and The Barking Frogs are within walking distance as well as a large grocery store. We also enjoyed eating at the Sedona Airport restaurant.

The owner of the property was wonderful to work with. My girlfriends and I would love to return and will stay at the home again if available.

The only thing I would like to see added to the home would be some black-out type curtains to pull to block early morning light and heat.

Very nice two bedroom/two bath single story house with plenty of room to sleep our group of four and a spectacular view from the sun-room in back. Beautifully furnished throughout -- everything looks like new. Well provided kitchen and large dining table. Back patio also takes advantage of the view and is great for entertaining. Quiet neighborhood. Withing a few blocks of stores and downtown Sedona. We highly recommend this house and will certainly stay there again.

Great value, responsive owners

A nicely modeled home on a very scenic property off 89A, just 10 minutes walk to amenities (Safeway, Restaurants - we recommend "A Slice of Heaven" for pizza, Cafe Jose for a quick breakfast) and a 5 minute drive to Uptown & Talaquepaque. The home is a bungalow (excellent for toddlers...we had two with us), with great BBQ/hangout space on the back deck accessible through the kitchen and both bedrooms. While the home is in a suburban environment, it is on top of a knoll and surrounded by an acre of lush cacti and ponderosa pines, such that the view from the deck is uncompromised by other properties - just shear Sedona red-rock. The minor issues we had while settling in were resolved immediately by the owners. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property...
