I started looking for a house in Austin because my daughter was doing a summer term in UT and moving to a new apartment. In between moves, there were ten days in which she had nowhere to stay (we even had to place all her furniture in storage). I wanted a house close to campus where she would be able to do her school work and study for her final exams. Also, one where I had my own space to write. I am very glad I found ATX tree house available for our dates. It had every amenity I was looking for and more. It was very clean, to start. The design of the house is very modern; it has a "loft" feel about it. The bedrooms offer privacy and are very comfortable. Each bedroom has its own tv or screen. For someone who is very picky about pillows, blankets and towels, there are plenty to choose from and everything is first rate and fairly new. The bathroom is very sophisticated. I liked the fact that everything was custom made. Since I like to cook, the kitchen also was a delight. The living room and dining room are very well appointed and inviting. Due to the dates of our visit and the record heat around the time (never lower than 105ºF), we couldn't enjoy the space outdoors. We were never inclined to walk in the park, which I imagine must be very enjoyable when a bit cooler. And here I have to say that the air conditioning in the house was great. It was great to come in from the heat to a very cool house. Furthermore, at one point (as these things happen whenever you need them most), the air conditioning stopped working. I called Payam, the owner, and not even ten minutes later, there was someone at the door to check on it. A couple of hours later a technician came by and fixed it. The neighborhood around the house is working class, but it is a very peaceful place. We had no problem in our comings and goings. By the end of our stay, we didn't want to leave and we would go back on our next visit.
