Asheville Lookout is a beautiful custom-built chalet style home ideal for couples and small family groups of up to 8 guests. The Chalet is located in the Brushy mountains above the town of Swannanoa, 10 miles East of Asheville and 10 miles West of Black Mountain. Our view is of Three Brothers Mountain and the Bee Tree Valley below, with a horse farm and quaint white steepled church.
Our Nightly rate is $250.00 per night. Taxes are 10%, housekeeping $125.00 per rental. Pets (up to 2) are $125.00 per rental period. The nightly rate for up to 8 guests is discounted for reservations of 7 or more days.
First Floor Master Bedroom: King Bed, flat screen TV, on-suite bath with multi-head 'shower for two', private entrance to 4-person hot tub on the enclosed sun porch. Sleeps 2.
Second Floor East Bedroom: King Bed, spiral staircase to Upper Loft with single bed and mini-futon. Sleeps 2-3.
Second Floor West Bedroom: Queen Bed, flat screen TV, baby crib and private deck with lounge chairs. Sleeps 2 (plus infant).
Loft overlooking Great Room: Full size futon, closet 'Office' with WindowsXP computer, MS Office 2007, DSL Internet access and open SSID wireless access for your personal laptop. Sleeps 2.
The Great Room: Gas log fireplace, sitting area and dining area has a full southern view through the 16 foot sliding glass doors and 2 story glass wall. AT&T U-Verse TV, VCR, DVD and Stereo piped to Deck. The Kitchen has everything you will need to prepare your meals; large and small appliances, 2 china services for 12, crystal and daily use glassware, table linens and plenty of cutlery.
Relax and enjoy the outdoors on our 16x50 deck with a Gas Grill, picnic table, swing and lots of chairs. On the adjoining West Patio we have a table and four chairs with an umbrella for dining al fresco. When evening falls, roast marshmallows in the fire pit!
Hike up to the top of the mountain with your pet to enjoy the view of the Brushy Mountains and the Bee Tree Valley below. Wander down to the stream and enjoy the sight and sound of the water going over our little waterfall!
Enjoy our private mountain retreat while still close to the amenities of Black Mountain and Asheville. Restaurants, site-seeing and antiquing opportunities abound, and grocery shopping is just 'down the mountain'.
We are 3 miles from Warren Wilson College. Minutes away from Rockmont, Timberlake and MerriMac, RidgeCrest and the Billy Graham Conference Center.
If you are coming to Black Mountain to attend a wedding at Lake Eden, Hidden River or Montreat, the Chalet is within 10 miles of each of these venues.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is not required to reach Asheville Lookout for most of the year; may be necessary for winter rentals. Security resident on-site, housekeeper and maintenance available.
