Custom Built Home for Year Round Living:
This is a custom home with a new multi-zone natural gas heating system with hot water base boards. The large Andersen skylight window and 8 ft. sliding door flood the living/dining areas with natural sunlight creating a bright and comfortable home during each season. There are underground electric, telephone, and cable lines in our area. The house is connected to town water and the septic system is Title 5 compliant. We provide Wireless Internet Access, rubbish pickup, and professional lawn maintenance.
A finished day-light lower level provides a second sitting area with cable TV, an open activity area with game table, bumper pool table, and ping pong table, and walk-out to the area under the deck that includes an outdoor hot and cold shower. The sitting area is furnished with an oversized leather sofa and a queen sleep sofa. A separate enclosed laundry room is equipped with washing machine and gas dryer, iron and ironing board.
Chatham Activities and Attractions:
There area many activities and attractions in Chatham, such as: Chatham Maritime Festival, First Night Celebration, Railroad Museum, Fish Pier Observation Deck, First Grist Mill in Godfrey Windmill at Chase Park, Atwood House Museum, Chatham Band Concert on Friday nights during July and August. The Chatham Athletics play in the Cape Cod Baseball League. There are excursion trips to Monomoy Island. The warm water beaches of Nantucket Sound are good for swimming. Since Chatham is located on the Elbow of Cape Cod, you can also easily day trip West toward the Cape Cod Canal or North to the National Seashore and Provincetown. A short ride across the Cape to Brewster brings you to the Kings Highway where you can tavel this senic route West along Cape Cod Bay through several towns to Sandwich. Chatham offers a central location from which to begin touring Cape Code. We are less than 1 mile from a Park and Ride lot at the bicycle trail that winds through Cape towns to Eastham.
Comfortably Furnished and Well Equipped:
The house is furnished and well equipped for your comfort and enjoyment. A 25 in. color TV with a DVD and VHS player in the living room and a 19 in. color TV with VHS player in the second sitting area have extended basic cable. Additional equipment includes; stereo CD player, portable telephone, automatic telephone answering machine, and clock radio in each bedroom. The large deck is furnished with a patio umbrella table with chairs and lounge chairs. A few wide gradual steps provide easy access to each deck level and to yard. There is a propane gas grill for outdoor cooking.
We have a ceiling fan in the living/dining area with cathedral ceiling. We also provide one box fan and two window fans for the three bedrooms. We also have a dehumidifier installed in the lower level. Although days on Cape Cod can be hot and humid in late July, with our home’s location, we normally benefit from a constant offshore breeze that provides for good air circulation and cooling.
