Guest Review: We just returned from an eight night stay at this home and we had an amazing time. Anita was there to greet us and house smelled wonderful from brownies baking. The house is warm and charming and it had everything we needed. Anita is very thoughtful as she leaves all the essentials and niceties there for the guests. The house is very clean and the bedrooms/bathrooms are very spacious. The living area is fantastic and the fireplace warmed up the living space and made it very cozy. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishes and utensils. The home is a perfect location for major attractions such as Grand Canyon, Montezuma Castle, Sedona, etc. It is a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. We brought wonderful memories back and will certainly consider renting this house again.
"My husband and I rented this lovely home for a week's stay in the Sedona area. It was perfect --- roomy, comfortable, fully appointed with everything we needed and blissfully quiet. The home in Cottonwood is only 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Sedona and 15 minutes from the quaint mining town of Jerome, yet when out on the patio at night with a thousand stars all around, you feel like you are the only ones in the world. The location was excellent for the many day trips we made to hike in all directions. Anita is the perfect host and I would not hesitate to stay at this home again in the future."
This home was exactly as described and pictured. Anita was a wonderful host and explained how all amenities worked and provided great attraction information.
She also greeted us with delicious warm brownies before leaving us to enjoy her
private and spacious home. The home was also immaculate and well maintained.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and peaceful back yard with covered patio and mountains, horses, and cows in the far back pasture. Lovely and quiet to sit outside in the mornings and evenings and enjoy the very pretty views and trees. The front yard was also very private and pretty as pictured. We were very impressed with all amenities. Every room had every necessity, and amenity you would ever need. Supreme comfort including wonderful beds with great mattresses for a great night's sleep. We enjoyed the close restaurants and activities to include horseback riding, hiking and short drive to Sedona. Nate's
cowboy cafe, Tavern Grill (Old Town Cottonwood), and Georgies were close and
wonderful restaurants.. Many other good ones also close by and shopping also close. Overall, our stay was relaxing, quiet, serene, and beautiful Thank you Anita! We hope to return in the future and appreciate your kindness and lovely home. Mary M.
The rooms in this house were much more spacious than pictures can convey! The kitchen had everything we needed (not to mention the aroma of a fresh-baked pan of brownies on arrival!) I stayed for a month and had siblings and friends take turns visiting. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on cool nights.
There were lots of books and throws and pillows and comfy seating in the ‘TV’ room when we wanted to curl up and read or get online (or watch TV). There was plenty of room around the dining room table for eating or playing games too.
The location was perfect! Hiking near Sedona was just a 15-30 minute (spectacular!) drive away, depending on the trails we chose, and yet we felt mostly sheltered from crazy tourist traffic because we were in a quiet area in Cottonwood, where there were horses all around, and roosters to wake us up in the morning. We ate out in Cottonwood a lot – so many wonderful choices. And of course, the grocery is close by, as is everything else we needed. (Even Old Town was within a mile or two.)
Anita was the perfect hostess. (Did I mention the brownies?) She always responded promptly to phone or text queries. She wasn’t there to greet us (I wouldn’t expect that; actually prefer getting to settle in) but she called ahead to drop by one time just to see how we were getting along, and came by another time at our suggestion to check into something minor. (We couldn’t find the remote to the DVD-player.)
She provides countless brochures and books so that we could find quick answers to any questions. (For example, the Scat and Tracks book convinced us we had come across tracks from a herd of javelina on the Long Canyon trail!) The info on local restaurants and menus and park hours and trail books, etc. were very helpful.
I’ve already booked my return!
We rented Anita place in Cottonwood this past weekend and it was amazing. Upon arrival Anita was in the driveway welcoming us, gave us a tour and provided us with some freshly made brownies. How great is that!
The house was a short drive from downtown Cottonwood where we spent the day wine tasting and a have a great time with family.
We will defiantly be back to Cottonwood and Anita can expect a future rental out of us.
House had lots of room for our family of 5. Nice quiet neighborhood. Owner was very nice and helpful. Would recommend this rental.
Lots of room for our family of 5. Nice quiet neighborhood. Could use some maintenance: rugs, blinds, recliner. Owner was very nice. Would recommend this property.
We arrived at this spacious, clean, property to the smell of homemade brownies. The quiet back patio was a welcome spot to enjoy breakfast and dinner, the proximity to Sedona made it easy to explore the area, and the country feel of the neighbourhood made for a quiet, clean, and pleasant getaway. All around a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
