FLAT full of:
CHARACTER & ARTISTIC AMBIANCE
The EAST VILLAGE & the LOWER EAST SIDE, aka by locals 'LOISADA',
are world famous for all that it has to offer 24/7.
Bars / Clubs / Restaurant Galore / After Hours Clubs in sum: a Tourists Magnet.
- So the neighborhood can be very noisy when you want to rest.
This flat is ideally located on a quiet side street - AWAY from all types of commercial venues:
restaurant / shops / night clubs.
- Quiet flats, they face the back of the building rare very silent - still it is flooded by natural light.
My husband and I stayed here on spring vacation with our two boys ages 10 & 16. The apartment was great and very typical New York. We loved that it was two floors so that the boys had their own space in the downstairs. The apartment is located in a great area. Easy to walk to restaurants and coffee houses! The hosts were incredible. They went out of there way to check on us to make sure that we were enjoying our stay!
We were fortunate to stay in the apartment situated in the East Village. The Hosts wee extremely welcoming; they stocked the fridge for our first meal after arrivinf from Australia. The apartment is small but even with the three of us, we fitted in and it didn't lack for amenities. we felt we were having the the NY experience. The aprtment was clean, safe and the Hosts ensured the bedding and towels were changed during our two week stay. Once ensconsed, we found how easy it is to move about NY from the East Village as the subway is only a 5-10 minute walk and the downtown bus is around the corner. A supermarket is on the corner although there are so many resaurants around, it became so difficult to choose where to eat. A happy problem. If i was lucky enough to head back to NYC, this would be my number one choice of accomodation.
In New York for a weekend on a business trip, I decided to try( for the first time) a HomeAway rental.
I found this ground floor slip level apartment on the border of East Village & the Lower East Side. This neighborhood, known for its vibe, has been chosen by young New Yorkers for its restaurants, bars and clubs. A friend came to spend the weekend “in the city” and also had a wonderful time, especially having Soho streets and shopping less than ten minutes walking from this place, not to mention all the night life every night!
Because of the winter weather, it was very good to be able to walk only three short blocks to and from the subway station. This beautiful apt was very clean and decorated in a simple but good taste, Its special feature is the privacy that it has to offer having 2 different floors. It had everything we needed to cook a fast morning meal +coffee- and at night, a very convenient stop at “Whole Foods” 3 blocks away before getting home made it a perfect day. Not to mention many delis on every block, plus dozens of restaurant choices close to home made our visit a gourmet trip around the world – from the Caribbean to Eastern European and an excellent Argentinian place just across the street!
The East Village / Loisada feels like a small town in the Big Apple and this flat really feels like home. The hosts were a very gentle / well educated couple who have travelled all over the world and have mastered how to treat the tourist who has decided not to stay in a hotel. At the end of the weekend, we felt so good & were fortunate that the flat was not rented that we decided to stay for the whole week! we experienced NYC like locals.
I would truly recommend this apartment to all American and Foreign friends.
I had visited New York to move there in February for business, I had contacted our hosts who were absolutely incredible and more then accommodating. I stayed for a week with a business friend and everything essential for your stay is already at the apartment such as water and coffee and snacks. The location in East Village was in a great area for walking to restaurants, shops, and if traveling across the city an easy walk to a subway station or a cap on Houston. Not to mention walking distance from a 24 hour dining with great food! The apartment was easy to get to once inside, once you get the jiggle down on the front door there are no issues! Highly recommend this apartment and the hosts who graciously took us in.
I highly recommend this apt. Very quiet in a perfect location.
Great recommendations on things to do in NYC were emailed to us from
the managers which helped us plan our trip.
We would return here in a second!
The East Village and the Lower East Side has turned into the epicenter of hype and fashion in NYC. Needless to say they are the best neighborhood for all times especially for night life.
These flats are in the heart of these famed neighborhood.
Whole Foods is around the corner!!!
F train steps away down the block.
Uptown and Downtown buses on either corner.

The apartment was well maintained, comfortable and clean, with the added bonus of a fridge stocked with all the essentials – an excellent thought, especially for evening arrivals. The photographs provided when we first inquired about the apartment were an accurate description, far better than I expected (from previous renting experiences) and it really felt like home for the 10 days we were there. Eliana’s husband organized a taxi
Location is perfect, close to a number for subway lines (F line is closest, but only 10-15 minutes walk to other lines.) The East Village has more than enough bars and restaurants to keep anyone occupied, but Lower East Side, Soho, etc are all within walking distance too. To summarize, good apartment, good transport links, good local bars and restaurants, close to lower Manhattan areas for sightseeing, shopping or whatever you want to do. Highly recommended – we’d stay again.
