Wyndham Kingsgate, Williamsburg, 50% Discount!

We recommend this property. Check-in was very simple. The layout of the grounds is easy to get around. The rental had a master with king size bed and shower only bath, desk, large dresser,closet, washer & dryer, and t.v. The second room had a queen size bed, combo tub & shower, dresser, closet, and t.v. In the livingroom area we utilized the queen size sofa bed and large t.v. The diningroom can seat 6 easily and the small kitchen is ample enough with all the appliances one would need to make a number of meals. The small deck had enough room for some plastic chairs for morning coffee. The only downfalls were a broken icemaker (repairman fixed? but still did not work - the staff did bring bags of ice which was certainly fine with us!). I should have asked for some extra pots and pans and some non-stick pans that were not all scratched - my mistake. There was a couple of cleaning issues, but nothing over the top (kitchen cabinets inside and some dirty (hair all over) extra blankets. The rest of the rental seemed clean and comfortable - you WANTED to sit on the couch and beds, etc. We rent many vacation rentals and have been disappointed in the past, BUT not this time. We would recommend highly! We can only recommend the listing with Laura (very professional and wish she owned many more rentals everywhere!) she was the best owner with which we have ever worked!

We had a great vacation at Wyndham Kingsgate. We booked through Sun or Snow rentals & they were super friendly and very reasonably priced. The pictures on their site were exactly what the room looked like, except for the kitchen, which looked much nicer & recently updated. Basically how it works is, Sun or Snow is a company that owns timeshares through Wyndham, and they rent their weeks to you through Homeaway. So this review is about both companies.

Things we liked about the resort were: the pools (they had a huge family pool, a nice indoor pool, a hot tub that fit around 10 people, and an adults only pool- our favorite), the free video & billiard games, exercise classes, and mini golf, the in-room washer/dryer, and the spacious homey feel of the place. We had three generations on this trip (my husband and I, my parents, and my 2 tween nephews), and there was something for everyone to do there. The only things we didn't like were (and these are really minor): the grills outside of each building were charcoal, so bring some if you want to grill outside. Our villa was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. I didn't mind this, but my 65 year old parents were NOT a fan. This might sound a little vain, but there was no full length mirror in the villa, so bring one with you or grab a $5 one at Target if you'll need one. And at registration they try to trick you into a "welcome breakfast," which is really a timeshare spiel. We declined the invitation, and they were nice about it & didn't ask us about it again. I've been to other timeshares that pester you the entire week, so this was a nice change.

We can't get over what a good deal this was. It was cheaper than a hotel with 5x more space & amenities. We can't say enough good things about Sun or Snow rentals for offering this service. They are very friendly, helpful & professional, and I highly recommend them. I admit to thinking it seemed a little too good to be true, but they are 100% legit and will take great care of you!

I have to say that this is the first rental that I have utilized that was actually BETTER than advertised. The accomodations were spacious and spotless--very comfortable and plenty of room for our family of five. The amenities on the property provided something for everyone--pools, mini-golf, game rooms, and much more! The property itself was meticulously maintained, beautiful ponds and flowers to enjoy as you walk the grounds. The staff answered all of your questions with a smile and were very helpful. You do not even have to leave to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. If you choose to leave, you are within minutes of the Busch Garden theme parks, downtown historic Williamsburg, and the outlet mall. Restaurants are abundant in the area and were quite reasonable with something for everyones taste. I cannot say enough positive comments to reflect how pleased we were with our stay. I would highly recommend the Wyndham Kingsgate to everyone!
