A walk through the Cabarete Caves feels like traveling back in time. Windsurf lessons or kite-boarding classes and equipment are readily available from beach-side shops with instruction from the local pros. World class golf is 50 minutes east at Playa Grande. Ocean World Marina, Water Park + Casino is an hour west. The historic San Felipe Fort at Puerto Plata was built by Christopher Columbus.

World Class Golf at Playa Grande: 45 mintues east of us is the world class Playa Grande Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, and touted as the DR's 'Pebble Beach'. It's a must see/play for any golfer, as 11 of the 18 holes overlook the ocean with breathtaking views.

Ocean World Marina, Water Park + Casino: Swim with the dolphins at Ocean World Water Park, Marina + Casino. Then finish your day with a wonderful dinner at their excellent restaurants, followed by a Las Vegas type of show with colorful Dominican dancers and singers.

Our stay at Vecinos could not have been more relaxing. Les and Lynda were so helpful and had alot of good advise as to where to eat, places to go and general town information. This is great for sufers and the nite life at the beach with all the wonderful food and drink is fantastic. They allowed us to take our Yorkie dog (who was given to us-he was somewhat abused) they were very understanding and their 2 dogs were just wonderful. Really am looking forward to staying again. If you want to experience the REAL LOCAL ATMOSPHERE, this is the place to go. Very roomy, clean and really just perfect for us.
Owner's Response: It's always a pleasure to share our home with renters like Yoly + Victor, who were so relaxed and easy. Both adults + kids made great use of the pool. Their enjoyment is ours too!
It was also great to see them take advantage of our wonderful location, and visit the restaurant across the street, or go downtown - which is minutes away. Our tranquil setting seemed a good backdrop for their weekend relaxation.

They were such great people to meet, and took such good care of our condo, we'd love to have them back anytime!
