Pleasant Poplars for a Pleasing Vacation! We have a deal for you! A week in the Georgia mountains for you and up to ten people. Come alone or bring a crowd. The house is great for family reunions or a quiet retreat. Some of its benefits: • 1.5 hours north of Atlanta, above Carter’s Lake. No houses are permitted on the lake, so it retains its pristine beauty; • Four bedrooms plus bunk beds in ground floor playroom, four baths. A handicapped-accessible bedroom and bath on ground floor, crib and high chair for an infant; • Central heat & A/C • 2nd story wrap-around porch with rockers plus 3rd story railed deck; • Small “computer room” off one bedroom, with view of distant hills—bring your laptop. However, no internet access. This is vacation! • Books, puzzles, family games, cards, and toys for all ages. Bumper pool in basement playroom. • Sandbox and two swings under the deck;

Pleasant Poplars overlooks Carters Lake, a Corps of Engineers lake with its entire shoreline protected as a nature preserve. Five access parks feature boat launch ramps, swimming beaches, a marina, and picnic areas. We're 15 miles from Jasper and Ellijay, which provide shopping, restaurants, antiquing, and a hospital. Ellijay (Gilmer County) is the apple growing capital of Georgia. Several historic sites and scenic parks are within a half hour drive.
