Guestbook comments from the owner

We certainly enjoyed our stay in your cozy casita. The setting is so beautiful, we were reluctant to go out and sightsee. We did go out and see some terrific things but this casita made coming home in the evening a joy. Thank you so much -

Visitors from Maine

  • 5 of 5
We came to New Mexico as first time visitors. The owner met us upon arrival and ensured that we understood all the features of their spacious, comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated casita. She advised us on nearby attractions and shopping destinations in Santa Fe such as Whole Foods about 15 minutes away. Our week's stay was enhanced by the exceptional kitchen and we slept extremely well in the comfortable bed. It was magical to wake up before sunrise and walk out from the casita to marvel at the stars as well as the scattered village lights below in the valley. There was an occasional sound of coyotes; otherwise absolute serenity. Sunrise above the mountains and distant sunsets across the valley were special too. We would return in a "heartbeat."

AWESOME STAY-THE PLACE WAS BETTER THAN EXPECTED

  • 5 of 5
My daughter and I went to Santa Fe/Albuquerque to celebrate my 66th b'day. We arrived to a warm welcome and hugs like long lost family members coming home to roost. After a few directions on how things work, Lidia was on her way and we had this lovely home to ourselves for the weekend. With 3 setting areas off each door way there was lots of places to relax and catch a nap or read a book. Of course we were in town most of the day but when we were "Home" we had everything we needed. Very secluded, yet close to town and shopping.

A restful week!

  • 5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our week of "down time" at the Casita. It was just the set-up we needed, and Ken and Lleta were perfect hosts. We hope to come back in a couple of years and stay longer!

A Beautiful Retreat

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I wanted a place just outside of Santa Fe for the peace and quiet....and view. We made an excellent selection! We were amazed by the quiet and stillness; the calm! And yet, within a few minutes we could be in the heart of Santa Fe or off in another direction on an excursion of our choice. We saw the beauty of sunsets and were fortunate to also be there during a full moon. All very relaxing!

We were very pleased with the accommodations. Lots of brochures and maps were available to us in the Casita. Everything was clean and orderly. Absolutely no unpleasant surprises. We even found fruit, fresh baked bread, coffee, and snacks waiting for us. We couldn't have been more pleased and agree that we would definitely choose this location again as well as recommend it to others.

We wish we didn't have to leave

We wish we didn't have to leave

This was our first time in Santa Fe and we loved every minute of it. One of the highlights of our trip was staying here in our own casita. It was more beautiful than the pictures show and the view from it was amazing. This location is a 15 min drive from the center of Santa Fe but it is worth it. I prefer a peaceful and quiet place to come home to after a day of activity and this casita was exactly that. There was cake, fruit and cereal for our first breakfast.
One morning I sat on the east patio and watched 3 deer walk through the property. At night the starts are so bright and I enjoyed sitting out in the dark whilst gazing at them.
I have to mention too that on the day we arrived, we got to the casita really late around 11pm. Ken the owner stayed up for us to make sure we got there safety .

We hope to be back in Santa Fe someday and would love to stay here in Ken and Lleta's guest home again.

What a Treat this home is

  • 5 of 5
What a special treat it was for us to have found this lovely casita and to have met Ken & Lleta. Their welcoming spirit and helpful nature so added to our trip.

You too will find a special spot to stay, its a lovely appointed home far enough away from the action of Santa Fe but really only 10 minutes away set in a quiet lovely rolling hilled neighborhood. If you are a Georgia O' Keffee fan and if Abiquiu and the Ghost Ranch are on your must see list too, the casita is less than an hours drive away.

The sunsets were so lovely and nature all around you. The house is warm and inviting with lovely outdoor happy hour spots as well. The kitchen has all that you need to make quiet meals in if you so desire. We can't wait to come back!
