La Casita de Luis lies in the middle of the fruit and vegetable orchards of the Buenvino Estate, 150 acres of private chestnut and cork forest in the mountains of western Andalucia. It has its own small swimming pool which is perfect for those hot summer days. Nights are cool as we are 2500ft above sea level yet it's only an hour from romantic Seville. The Aracena mountains are a world apart, of wonderful walks, spectacular scenery peace and comfort. 8 minutes away by car lies Aracena, a small market town with excellent night life, and good shopping facilities. There's a supermarket and a good butcher and you can obtain excellent fresh fish and shellfish as well as the special Iberian pork and ham (Jamon Serrano Iberico de bellota). In summer you may pick your own vegetables from the organic orchards. Hot water is provided by solar panels and each house has an i-pod dock, and a well equipped kitchen.

The Aracena and Picos de Aroche Nature Park lies at the north of Huelva province. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty, with plenty of waymarked walking trails linking the many small whitewashed villages. In summer it is a good deal cooler than Seville, owing to the height above sea level, 2500ft in places.You can visit the famous Aracena Caves (8Kms E of here), try the special air-dried ham from Jabugo (8kms W of here), visit the 9th century mosque in Almonaster la Real, attend folkloric romerias, or hire horses by the hour to go riding.
