Situated in the North Georgia Mountains Deer Trail Cabin is a two bedroom, two bath cabin located in Ellijay Georgia, just one hour north of Atlanta, within the gated community of Coosawattee River Resort. Coosawattee River Resort has a wide variety of activities available to you for free during your stay some of which include an Olympic size heated pool, tennis courts, basketball court, exercise room, miniature golf, stocked fishing pond (no license required), just to name a few. For a small fee you can travel to the Coosawattee General Store to try tubing or kayaking down the Coosawattee River (May thru September).

About the Area: Elljay Georgia is the Apple Capital of Georgia. Within a short distance you can find hiking trails, state parks (Fort Mountain, and Amicalola Falls), Carters Lake, antique shopping, and so much more. Travel one hour south and enjoy all the sites and sounds that Atlanta has to offer

Something for everyone.: If you have ever heard the phrase and feel your family is a little bit country and a little bit city everyone’s taste can be satisfied.

Why Would you want to stay here?: Come enjoy watching the wildlife from the deck or front porch, take a walk down the deer trail, nature made, located approximately 15 yards south of the cabin to the river. Enjoy the community recreation center just 1.1 miles away. Take a tubing trip down the Coosawattee River. Read that book you’ve been trying to get to. Travel to Atlanta & see the zoo or for the adults a trip to Underground Atlanta. What ever your desires they are a heart beat away. Enjoy the simple life for a couple of days you’ll never want to go back home, I didn’t.

What a Delightful Time

Charlie and I left Ellijay this morning at 4:30 a.m. and we are now home in Baton Rouge. I just had to tell you what a delightful time we had in your lovely vacation home. We were so comfortable as you have certainly gone all out with your decorating and many details to accommodate your guests. We saw both deer and wild turkey in your yard and it was a thrill for us both. Tho we visited the rec center, we never had occasion to use it. We were too busy roaming the countryside visiting the many nearby attractions and getting together with a few friends in the area.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The Pictures Don't do your Home Justice

We had a wonderful time this weekend - thank you for the use of your home. We did get some deer corn and had a wonderful time watching the deer, turkey and even a baby racoon. The pictures don't do your house justice. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We drove through the park and it is beautiful with its picnic stops by the river.
