A great centrally located golfer's retreat, near dozens of quality courses in Delaware and Maryland. Elegant and quiet. Overlooks deep woods. High ceilings throughout. Luxuriously furnished and equipped. 7 minutes from downtown Rehoboth. A perfect retreat from the heat and crowds. Two king beds, one queen bed. Full kitchen with exotic Russian blue granite bar countertop. Two porches, the larger screened with loveseat, chair and table. Unscreened porch off the master bedroom makes a great wake up space, your own private yoga studio among the trees, or just a great place to stand at the rail with a cup of coffee as the sun rises through the woods. We often see deer, fox and many species of birds.

Located at the north end of Rehoboth Beach, off rt. 1 in the Creekwood community. A seven minute drive to RB downtown; traffic permitting. It's an ambitious bike ride I've made many times that'll take 20-25 minutes. Lewes, driving, takes 10-12. Headed south on rt. 1, we're across from Jake's restaurant. If you're heading north, we're behind the Rehoboth Diner, which incidentally is open 24/7 for those who crave a midnight snack. The menu is extensive but not all of it's good. I recommend the chicken soup, prime rib, and the blueberry pie.

  • All bedrooms are corner rooms with windows on two sides, bedroom 3 being the smallest. Sofabeds are notoriously swaybacked and uncomfortable. We bought the best we could find and everyone says it is very comfortable. Bedroom 2 has double doors on an angle. The Polynesian armoire is complemented by a curved bamboo night stand of drawers, and a cane and bronze coconut palm tree motif lamp. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with quality furniture we bought for ourselves. The master bedroom features a decadently comfortable king size bed, oversized beaureau, adjacent bath with twin sinks, a corner tub, and separate shower. Go out through the sliding door to the balcony.

The Creekwood community: We are located equidistant from the ocean and 5 Points, intersection of rts. 1, 9, and 404. There are 2 bikes available for guest to use, but we recommend they are used on the grounds only. It is an ambitious bike ride to the beach; only 3 miles, but some of it along route 1, which is not bike friendly. The Rehoboth Diner is located just at the edge of the property and is open 24/7.

Outlet shopping: Outlet shopping is up and down route 1. It is best to drive, but energetic shoppers looking to avoid parking hassles will find the closest outlets about 1 mile south on our side of rt. 1.

Beaches: Downtown Rehoboth Beach can be crowded. If you want a beach experience and don't require shops also, we recommend the Delaware State Park beaches. They are beautiful and have plenty of parking. Henlopen is located to the north of town. Several others are south of Rehoboth and Dewey. Bayside parks are great for clamming and crabbing, or for kids who want to get wet but don't like the ocean.

Golf: Numerous golf courses line Route 1 north of Rehoboth, and many more are south of town, and in nearby Maryland.
