The Lakefront:
Jump in your boat (bring your own and anchor it in the cove or rent one by the hour. There are two boat ramps close by. Head out to the open water to tube, ski, wakeboard or fish for the “big ones”. There is great fishing on Canyon Lake for bass, striped bass, white bass, crappie, perch and very large catfish. Canyon Lake is also known for its great sailing conditions, so you may want to rent one from the marina while you’re visiting. Canyon Lake is one of the clearest and most beautiful lakes in Texas. You can’t help but have a great time on this lake. The cedar and oak woods are saturated with wildlife. The neighborhood is shared with pet-like deer. It’s a very calming and natural environment.
The Beautiful Home:
You will find the home to be very accommodating with plenty of space for friends and family gatherings (we have other properties available on the same street for larger groups). The home has been newly remodeled and feels brand new with many modern day conveniences including: a fully equipped kitchen with tiled counters, an entertainment center, cable TV and computer with internet access. There is a ping-pong table, game console and a variety of board games to be enjoyed by the kids or young at heart. A small grocery store is nearby for any and all items you may need.
The home has two large covered back decks with several tables and a BBQ pit. Enjoy the lake view as you sit on the deck sipping a cool beverage visiting with friends and family. The back yard is very large and there is plenty of room to play croquette, volleyball or horseshoes, which are provided. The property features a private hot tub which has an amazing view of the lake.
Lots to do around here!:
The Guadalupe River feeds Canyon Lake and has some of the best tubing, rafting and kayaking in Texas. It’s located only minutes from the home. Gruene Hall, Texas’s oldest dance hall, is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River with its famous live music and is only a short 15 minute scenic drive away. Gruene also offers great restaurants, shops and spas.
While visiting, you may also want to take a day trip to New Braunfels, a quick 25-minute drive away. It is home to the world’s largest water park, Schlitterbahn, which is situated on the banks of the crystal clear Comal River. Tubing is also very popular on the Comal River.
If shopping is your interest, take the short drive to San Marcos and partake in the Outlet Malls!
San Antonio is also just a short drive away - take in the Riverwalk, the Alamo, Fiesta Texas/Six Flags, the San Antonio Zoo and much, much more!
