The long summer in Weiden: Our village is located in the precious gemstone region of Idar-Oberstein. A stunning floodplain and forest are located directly on the farm. Enjoy the long summer in Weiden. You can find oranges, lemons, kiwis, grapes and figs in the winter gardens in 'Heuherberge' and 'Faustus'. In the pasture you can see the horses Sofia, Bella and Atti, the ponies Stoll and Maxi, the donkeys 'Emilio, 'Eco' and 'Esmeralda', the sheep Martha and Lina, the goats Susi and Willi. A summer night in hay, the dream of life on the country side for hikers, bikers & horseback riders. We made the hay floor a large bed for school trips, family vacations, groups, world travelers & for celebrating festivals in the winter garden. In 'Lischens Kammer' and 'Gretchens Stube', you can fall to sleep surrounded by soft hay with the scent of a summer meadow. Those suffering from allergies can sleep in the student digs or in the guest house. Comfortable restrooms are in the old ruins. During the evening & morning (breakfast buffet) food is offered & you can begin your exciting day with this. There is 1 large ping pong table, play corner in the winter garden & a lot of ridable toys, 1 hay floor for playing, adventure games on the edge of the forest, the pond & the stream are ideal places for playing near nature. Weiden with horses, ponies, sheep, goats, our donkeys are located directly behind the winter garden. There is also a lawn and a romantic corner, grill/fire spaces.

'Sironaweg' connects the 2000 year history with the present and runs very close to Weiden. In 'Marienstollen', you can search for silver and galena or purchase cut gemstones from the region. Weiden is a meeting place for those seeking tranquility and world travelers. You can arrive via: car, train (closest train station is IdarOberstein w/direct bus connection through Weiden towards the airport). With the flight connections from Querbeet Europa, you can get to the airport Frankfurt-Hahn in a 20 minute drive. Bus connections from ORN from Hahn to Idar OBerstein.

Ski: If you are looking for an accommodation for your family celebration during Christmas, you can use the guest house and Karins house to enjoy your Christmas festivities together with your grandparents and siblings. A decorated tree will be waiting for you or would you like to decorate it yourself? Fun in the snow with temperatures under 0C, the new snow machines make this possible. On Erbeskopf by Deuselbach (20 km, two 800m descents, practice slope, cable lift, flood lit, luge track, ski rental / school, slope lodges). As soon as there is snow in Hunsrück, you can discover numerous slopes in the fairytale like high forest or you can put your alpine skills to the test on Idarkopf and Erbeskopf. If you do not like to ski, hikes will leave you with everlasting impressions that you will take back home.

Saturday is grill night with original Idar-Oberstein roast with a lot of sides and Sunday morning brunch is not only for the guests at the vacation farm. A winter garden to celebrate festivals or for a social gathering. Enjoy the unique ambiance in the winter garden in the hay hostel (Heuherberge). Lemons, oranges, kiwis, grapes, figs and thousands of flowers all build a wonderful ambiance for your private festivals, weddings or birthday parties. The winter garden seats more than 170 people. A special ambiance for special events, corporate events and family programs, class trips or graduation trips, youth programs, children's birthday parties with a diverse program of your choice - everything is possible. Up to 40 people can sleep in hay beds in the hay hostel, in addition there are 20 beds in the student digs for those who would rather not sleep in the hay. The apartments and the houses on the farm can be booked in addition to this.
Enough space for games and fun in the winter garden, by the campfire, on the soccer area. If you want to enjoy silence, the farm has enough places for you to retreat to (lawns, ponds, seats in the gardens, by the pond, on the edge of the forest), or would you like to play, grill, sit around a campfire and look into the starry sky? Yes, you can still see stars by us in Weiden. Or would you like to see the region by taking a covered wagon ride on the Edelsteinstrasse?
