The long summer in Weiden:

The pond line & the museum of local history show you the beginnings of the gemstone industry. The historical city center of Herrstein, the Wildenburg with a game reserve & the gem garden in Kempfeld can be reached in just minutes. Jewelry designers & gemstone grinding shops have a large selection of modern jewelry that will allure any woman. You can experience a special day in the shale caverns in Herrenberg (fossils), Altburg, Schmidburg by Bundenbach & the Hahnenbach Valley. Ski:
If you are looking for an accommodation for your family celebration during Christmas, you can use the guest house and Karins house to enjoy your Christmas festivities together with your grandparents and siblings. A decorated tree will be waiting for you or would you like to decorate it yourself? Fun in the snow with temperatures under 0C, the new snow machines make this possible. On Erbeskopf by Deuselbach (20 km, two 800m descents, practice slope, cable lift, flood lit, luge track, ski rental / school, slope lodges). As soon as there is snow in Hunsrück, you can discover numerous slopes in the fairytale like high forest or you can put your alpine skills to the test on Idarkopf and Erbeskopf. If you do not like to ski, hikes will leave you with everlasting impressions that you will take back home.
Golf:
The golf club 'Edelstein Hunsrück' in Kirschweilier (8 km) has a 9 hole golf course and club house and invites you to partake in numerous activities. Here beginners can practice at the 3 hole course.
A second golf course (9 holes) is located by the Hahn airfield.
