I have been coming to Paris since the early 70's. I've attended courses, visited museums, and walked just about every where in Paris. There is no place I would rather be.
I love the Bastille area and particularly the lively rue de la Roquette neighborhood. In fact I was so taken by the area that I wrote a short history of the rue de la Roquette - a pivotal location in French history. The 11th is a very diverse area with many fine French and ethnic restaurants.
Between the always effervescent Place de la Bastille and the quiet beauty of a walk through Père Lachiase you find all the things that make Paris, such a desirable place to be.
It is located in a secure building on a quiet side street. At the same time is is close the centers of Right Bank activity - the Place de la Bastille, Père Lachaise and the Marais. There a number of close by métro and bus stops as well. The area has three outdoor markets so that almost any day of the week you to can buy fresh produce, meats and seafood. The apartment is very comfortable and at 44 sq meters offers space to stretch out. It features a custom built kitchen. And of course there is the standard TV, internet (including WiFi) telephone, etc. A post office, several supermarkets and many cafés and restaurants are just a short walk away.
There are three outdoor markets in the area. Each market is open a different two days a week.
