Luxury condo on the scenic tidelands of Corte Madera, with beautiful Mt. Tam in the background. Overlooks a Bahama-like tidal estuary, with amazing fog-free views of the valley area between the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area mountain range.
Just a short drive over the mountain brings you to the Pacific Ocean, where you can spend a day in the sun at popular locations such as Stinson Beach, Bolinas, and Point Reyes National Seashore. After a day of sightseeing, relax at one of the fine restaurants in historic downtown Larkspur, and maybe take in a movie at the local theater. All within walking or biking range from the condo. Also within walking range, by waterside path, are the upscale Bon Air shopping center, ferry service to San Francisco, public trans., boat rentals, and more.
This large 2 bedroom condo features brand-new remodeled construction throughout with beautiful tile and laminate floors, a granite handicap-access shower, a jetted Jacuzzi bathtub, and a 'Sleep Number' electrically adjustable bed. All-day sun, 14 foot ceilings, and an open floor-plan create a comfortable, refreshing atmosphere, with a large deck facing south out over the water. This is an upper-level, end unit with a short, level walkway to the covered parking area, with no stairs between parking and the front door. A short path around the side of the building brings you to a dock at creekside.
We enjoyed this great condo for 3 months this winter and found it to be everything we had hoped for...exceptional condo, great views on the water, open, light airy place and convenient to all you could wish for locally (shopping, gyms, etc.) and only 20 minutes to San Francisco. We also enjoyed great hikes on Mt. Tam, walks on Stinson Beach and the National Seashore at Pt. Reyes and trips to the wine country. You can do all within 45 mins to 1 hour from the Condo. We have already reserved time to return in 2016. And as others have said, the owner is a pleasure to deal with and very responsive to needs. Have fun in this great place.
This listing info and photos are very accurate. There is a lovely view of waterways and mountain from both inside the condo and from the outside deck. In the morning the water was glassy smooth as you watch the rowers go silently by below you. The unit is well maintained and sparkling clean. The updated kitchen was well supplied with everything you could need. A vaulted ceiling with lots of windows and light make the unit sunny and cheerful. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. We would especially recommend this unit for young couples as well as more mature adults. Nearby restaurants we enjoyed were Left Bank and Ambrosia. Bon Air shopping mall is also nearby with a Molly Stones market for groceries. We enjoyed several America's Cup races during our stay. The close proximity to San Francisco made it easy and convenient to get to the races which were held in San Francisco Bay. You can enjoy the city by day and a quiet relaxing place to come home to at night. We only wish we could have stayed longer! LCJ
I researched for months to find a great place to stay for my mom`s first trip to CA. We arrived late and weary, but as soon as we entered the condo we knew we had found the perfect place to stay. The home is bright with lots of natural light from all the windows and skylights. The view is beautiful and changes with the tides. Sunset over the mountains is breathtaking. The condo is in an upscale area, very centrally located between San Fran, Sausalito, Muir Woods to the south, Napa, Sonoma to the north. The Larkspur ferry is a few minutes away by car and we took the ferry to San Fran 2 days in a row so we didn`t have to deal with the downtown parking. The city view from the ferry was lovely. Its and inexpensive way to travel across the bay. Just be careful to check the MLB schedule before planning your ferry ride or you won`t find parking when there is a game. After a long day of sightseeing, it was such a pleasure to come back to the condo. It truly was a home away from home. My mom & I picked up groceries at the nearby Mollie Stones & prepared most of our meals at home, in the kitchen with the gorgeous view. The condo was very clean, the full sized kitchen was well stocked with utensils, etc, everything needed to prepare meals. Coming from the humidity of FL we were surprised that there is no A/C, but it was never needed. There was plenty of cross ventilation from open windows, the cool fresh air was great! The owner Beth was available by phone for a few questions we had. She was great to deal with. Thank you Beth for sharing your gorgeous condo. My mom & I didn`t want to leave!!
We stayed three nights over the Thanksgiving holiday; I wish we could have stayed longer. The condo is comfortable, elegant, quiet, pristine, and with the most amazing views (even better than the pictures). Each morning we delighted in watching what was happening on the waterway below us: amazing birds, kayakers, rowers. The location is perfect for exploring San Francisco, Marin, and the wine country. Highly recommended!
My husband and I just wanted a place not in San Fr. but convenient--This condo was perfect! Loved the location, view, and the extras such as washer/dryer and sleep # bed that raises. We also loved the nearby by restaurants. Would recommend timing travel plans into the city, but well worth getting out of city to stay. Beth was very accomdating.
Our group of four southern GetAway girls found the Larkspur condo to be a great Home Sweet Home after a day of the city, the wine country and the beautiful San Reyes National Seashore. The view from the condo was just as wonderful as the pics present. We caught the Larkspur Ferry into the city and enjoyed seeing a new perspective of the great city. We would not hesitate to stay again.
