We loved our stay at this amazing condo! We stayed for over 3 weeks so we truly got to appreciate the area and the home. It was equipped with everything you could think of. Every kitchen utensil, plenty of towels, beach toys, board games, puzzles, extra linens... the list goes on. We didn't have to buy anything but food. After traveling as far as we did (the kids and I came from Hawaii, while my husband flew in all the way from Afghanistan) it was wonderful to be able to just roll our luggage in the door and not have to worry about what we may need. Just look around, I'm sure you'll find it :)
The A/C in all the bedrooms keep the place nice and cool, as does the breeze that blows in through the sliding doors in the living room if you choose to leave them open. The back patio is extremely spacious and many nights we chose to eat meals out there. The bbq got it's fair share of use during our stay. The home is very spacious. Two or three of us could all be cooking in the kitchen and never feel like we were stepping on each others toes.
The owners were VERY responsive. They responded right away every time I contacted them and even forwarded me information about things that were going on around the area while we were there (which is how we found a great little farmers market with fresh breads, passion fruit jams, jewelry, hand crafted soaps, etc).
The location is wonderful. The gym is well equipped. The pool for the complex is diagonal from the front door of the unit and the gate to the beach is just next to the pool. Walk either direction down the beach and you'll see even more gorgeous beach landscapes (we took tons of pictures here). Just down the road (we slowly strolled and it took 3 minutes at most) is a quaint outdoor area with food vendors selling all sorts of flavorful foods and drinks.
It is definitely not the hustle and bustle of San Juan but that wasn't what we were looking for. Isabela is a great starting point for many of the sights that can be found on the West Side of the island. We took full advantage of the location and saw many things that other visitors may not see because they get caught up in the area surrounding San Juan (although I recommend Old San Juan and El Yunque).
We are planning on coming back in a couple of years and hope that Carlos and Maritza are still renting their beautiful condo so we can stay there again!
