It's all about the pool

Just wrapped up a great week at this property with my family with our young children and grandparents too. Stayed in "side A" and it was just like the pictures on the website. Very clean, well-maintained, well-stocked, and no issues with the property throughout the week. Owner was easy to deal with and very responsive to our questions prior to the trip. Neighborhood is super quiet, property is easy to find, property is a short drive from anything (restaurants, Bruno's grocery, stores, etc.), and the walk to the beautiful beach was a piece of cake. I liked that the house is away from Gulf Shores "city center" and away from the big hi-rise condos -- definitely made the beach less crowded. Was a little concerned about sharing the duplex with other renters, but that turned out to be a non-issue due to some great people in "side B" next to us. Best thing by far for my family was the pool. My kids and I practically lived in it while at the house. The pool was super clean and the water was perfect. Definitely the biggest selling point for this rental property in my opinion. Only minor negative comment was we only got 1 key. Could have used a spare since we had multiple people in the house. Only major negative comment was that the master bed was very uncomfortable. I did not sleep well on it all week, and in fact, my back (and my wife's too) is still sore from having slept on that mattress, which needs replacing in my opinion. The bed issue is the only thing keeping me from giving this property an "excellent" rating. Otherwise, we had an incredible time on our vacation, and I would definitely recommend this property to others and would also consider using it again myself. Would also recommend to drivers arriving on Saturday evening to expect travel delays coming through Foley to Gulf Shores. The traffic jam on 59 on our arrival evening completely caught us off-guard, so something to plan for next time around. Thanks!

Owner's Response: So great to hear that you loved the accommodations!!! The maid let me know that one of the keys was not returned by the renters the week before you arrived. Unfortunately my keys can't be copied except at the locksmith so we had that sent out to get a duplicate...regardless sorry for the inconvenience. I haven't had any complaints about the pillow top mattress before and we bought it new one and a half years ago. We had to pick a bed that not too soft and not to firm to try to please as many people as possible. If we have another complaint in the near future about it then we will definitely have it replaced. Hope y'all can stay again next year and we will put you on the B side so that you get a firmer nights rest. THANK YOU!!!!!!
