Anytime of the year is the perfect time to visit Santa Fe, and this is your ideal refuge! Situated in the historic Guadalupe District of downtown Santa Fe, just around the corner from The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the historic Santuario de Guadalupe, this casita is ideal for two couples or a couple with two children. This vacation home with it's Craftsman-style interior, is reminiscent of a northern New Mexico farmhouse from the outside. Central evaporative cooling provides a welcome retreat from the mid-day summer sun. The house sleeps four people comfortably (1 king bed, two twins) and has two bathrooms. The main bathroom is located adjacent to both bedrooms and has a combination shower & tub with loads of decorative Mexican tile and granite counter-top. The second bathroom has a wonderful steam shower and is located just off the family room/den area The modern kitchen is completely equipped for the serious cook, with granite countertops, loads of cabinet space and all the kitchen-ware and appliances you might need during your stay. In addition, you can grill your burgers, chicken or steaks on the outside gas BBQ located on the private flagstone patio. Built in the 20's, this Craftsman-style home has been completely restored and upgraded, with distinctive features such as the specially pigmented hand-troweled plaster walls, wood floors throughout, a modern kitchen, new family room/den and steam shower. The family room and living room are well-separated, so mom can quietly enjoy her book in front of a pleasant fire in the living room while dad and the kids watch a DVD in the family room. Skylights in the family room area, the main bathroom, as well as the hallway leading to the two bedrooms create a light and airy interior to this historic downtown home. A door separates the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and main bathroom from the remainder of the house, providing for additional quiet space for those guests who may wish to retire earlier than the rest of their travel party. Wake up in the master bedroom's king-size bed to light filtered through lace curtains with glimpses of the eighty-year-old apple tree in the quiet and private, gated back yard and gardens. The master bedroom has plenty of built-in closet space. The second bedroom has two single beds, two bureaus and ample closet space.
Landscape architect-designed gardens, both front and back, provide an intimate retreat during the warmer months, with plenty of outdoor patio seating and tables, gently accompanied by a soothing water feature. Inside, the walls burst with artwork. Perfect for the family vacation or romantic get-away. You will remember your stay at my comfortable, conveniently located and private casita for years to come.

About Perry Andrews
I have been vacationing in Santa Fe for over 20 years. I've loved returning to the 'City Different' year after year. Santa Fe's rich culture and heritage, combined with my lovely casita's prime downtown location within walking distance of the finest restaurants, art galleries, museums, and world class entertainment, enticed me to purchase this particular home earlier this year (2014), after looking at homes in and around Santa Fe for a number of years. I decided the downtown location of this property can't be beat. Lovingly taken care of by the home's previous owners, they returned to Santa Fe year after year to vacation & visit. The house has everything I need, including ample space and the amenities to entertain friends when I visit several times a year. I hope you will enjoy my lovely casita as much as I do.
