Rose is located just near the metro stop: Arts et Metiers. The neighborhood has many hidden treasures, such as art galleries and designer boutiques; due to many improvements in recent years, it has become one of the most sought after areas in Paris. Young designers and artists have made this area their home. You will not find a throng of tourists when you go out your door, but a real Parisian neighborhood. Stay here long enough and you may find you too will get to know the shop owners. Though not touristy, you are just a two-minute walk from Square du Temple and all the historical sites that abound. Here on Rue de Bretagne, you will find the oldest produce market in Paris, the Marche des Enfants Rouges, which has been recently renovated. Organic food, seafood, a wine bar, the most colorful and tasty fruits and vegetables and many quality caterers such as Italian, Moroccan and Japanese are to be discovered inside this covered marketplace. Weekends are lively.
