Exceeded our Expectations!

What wonderful memories we made! With so many places to go, things to see, and the perfect view to just stay at the Cabin and do nothing on some days and nights, we had the best time! We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the firepit, and cooking steaks on the grill; we stayed home many nights, cooked dinner, and just sat by the gorgeous fireplace and listened to music while playing games. We went into downtown Bryson City to the adorable stores like Madison's on Main, and to the Newly re opened Cork and Bean! We never expected such a gorgous dining and gathering place in the Mountains! Cherokee had great Native American shops! Dillsboro and the Jarrett House were fun places to go- the Jarrett House has delicious meals and Dillsboro has one delicious BBQ place, the Dillsboro Smokehouse!! Right down the road is a gem mine- that was a lot of fun to do! The fishing pond right down the road from the house was scenic and relaxing- we even caught a bass (caught and released!). The roads and hills make for a great, scenic walking workout, and the porch was so nice to sit on in rocking chairs and look at the amazing view! The stars are SO bright and easy to see at night- we went outside a few nights, turned off all the lights, and relaxed in the Hot Tub to see the stars- breathtaking! I hope I am not forgetting anything!! Kathleen was so wonderful to work with and really helped to make this one special trip! It was a wonderful place to make memories to last a lifetime, and Up Up and Away was exactly as it was described in the description, and it provided the perfect getaway! It is heavenly, relaxing, memorable, and is the ultimate mountain retreat, and the PERFECT gift (from My Husband)! I HIGHLY recommend it!! Our next trip will be in the summer as I heard that watching the fireflies at night is nothing short of spectacular!
