Rustic, Woodsy, and Private with modern conveniences and comforts. Inside the Cabin you will enjoy the Wood floors, Pine tongue and groove walls, wood burning fireplace and Satellite TV. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are 7-8 restaurants close by from casual to fine dining. Just steps out of the front door are hiking trails, ponds to fish in, basketball and tennis courts (in the middle of the woods). 1 Mile from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Appalachian Trail, and WHITEWATER RAFTING! Notes: FAQ Answers: Pets under 40 lbs that are on flea/tick prevention are welcome. There is a 25.00 per reservation pet fee. The cabin is about 1.5 miles from the Main Hwy 19/74. Far enough that you hear NO HIGHWAY ROAD NOISE, but close enough to make traveling easy. Yes, the cabin is private. There are no houses in front to obstruct the view, and no homes behind you looking down. You will pass 1 house about 300 feet before you get to this one and there is 1 house way past this one that you will not see. It is private, but not scary secluded. I hope this helps to answer some common questions I am asked. Our goal is to provide the most comfortable, clean, peaceful, affordable accommodations possible. Just minutes Away:: Whitewater Rafting, Appalachian Hiking Trails, Sully (for Biking), 7-8 Restaurants from fine dining to Burgers and Pizza, Antiquing, Full service Spa, Fishing Lakes and Creeks... Bryson City with festivals, shops, cafe's, and the Train. The train offers scenic and theme trips regularly. A favorite is the Polar Express with Santa, his Elf, and all the children in pajamas sipping hot chocolate.

Within a Short Drive:: Golfing (Public Course) is about 25 minutes, Shopping, Antiquing is about 5 min. away, Quaint Mountain Towns (Bryson City is 15 min. and Andrews is about 30 min. Murphy is about 40 min. Franklin is about 30 min.) Skiing and Sledding are about 35 min. away, Asheville is about 45 min. Harrah's Casino is within a 30 minute drive.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time in this cabin that will leave you with the feeling of pure relaxation. There were many things to enjoy but the balcony will be the most memorable because after we left she is now my lovely fiancée. This cabin was a great deal and a cherished memory.

We stayed here 9-25 thru 9-27, 2009 we were there for the NOC GAF. Awesome view!!! it rained most of the time we were there but we still had a great time! The cabin was very clean and the hot tub was nice the one time we got in while it was not raining. We plan to stay here again in the future. The view alone was worth it! I would highly recomend this property if you Love a mountain view.

Very nice cabin. Breath taking view in a private setting. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin was convient to all the areas attractions. Wonderful place for a small family get away.

We had a wonderful time. The view was breathtaking. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We were so close to so many activities we had trouble figuring out what to do.

We went there for a little weekend getaway and had the most relaxing time. The view was amazing, just like the picture shows, no camera tricks or odd angles. My husband and I sat on the deck for hours just looking at the mountains and enjoying the peace. We have stayed at other cabins where they kinda embellish the cabin or grounds but not here. The hot tub was ready and waiting when we got there and again the view was amazing. The inside of the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We had a cute little neighbor dog come sit with us for awhile and watched the hawks flying over the trees. The cabin was far enough away that you felt like you were in a different place but just a short drive to area shops and restaurants. We will definitely be going back again and again.

Our goal with Up Up and Away Chalet is to offer an extremely clean, peaceful, and comfortable experience that does not break the budget! After a day exploring, skiing, kayaking, or hiking it is perfect to relax in the sparkling hot tub, make a fire in the woodburning fireplace, and sink into high thread count sheets.
All of the view photos are amateur pictures taken from the covered porch, it is much nicer in person! On a clear day you can see the overlook tower on Wesser Bald. If you are ambitious you can hike up there. It is about 3 miles on the Appalachial Trail and is mildly strenous.
