Walk in through the front door and be greeted by the pouring in of sunlight in our open and spacious home.
Uniquely designed, the first floor is open with 16 foot ceilings. There are two sleeping lofts and a staircase which leads to a catwalk on the east facing part of the house where more bedrooms and a bathroom are located.
Featuring a large and open living room area and kitchen with a sliding door that leads to the back deck for lounging or grilling or watching the red tail hawks dive and perform for you.
Immediately to our right is the home of the infamous, Newport National Golf Club. Enjoy a long walk along the bridal path which borders the entire course.
Jump into your car for a 2 minute ride to Newport's unbeatable beaches or ride your bike the 3 easy miles and take in the vineyards and nursery land along the way.
Newport's restaurants alone are worth the trip here. We are happy to make recommendations for even the most finicky eaters!
One of the best Jazz Festivals is right here in Newport along with the popular Folk Festival. Enjoy an evening of Polo less than 2 miles down the road!

I am a 24 year breast cancer survivor with 2 daughters and 9-year old twin grandchildren. I have used VRBO in the past - always with a positive experience so I knew right away who I wanted to deal with when deciding to rent my home!
Linda purchased this house in 2001
I built this home as part of my founding Rhode Island's first and only free nonprofit center dedicated to supporting and celebrating the lives of women with cancer and their families and to be near my grown children and grandchildren. The house/co-op is also used on occasion for retreats for women with cancer as well as support groups. Something that brings me joy to do. With the increasing challenges in the funding department I have discovered that renting the home is an elegant solution to a difficult problem.
This is truly a perfect home in every way. Not smack in the hustle and bustle of downtown and surrounded by open space on every side. Yet everything is a stones throw away from beaches and fine dining to shopping and museums. The house is very large and very, very roomy, making it a great space for get-togethers or family retreats. It should be noted that there are areas of the house that are not baby/child proof so care must be taken with children in the home. The Gardens and patio offer visitors a peaceful and relaxing space to sit or visit.
The home also features a director in residence basement apartment with a seperate entrance.
Awesome place, Linda! Thank you for arranging our transportation (we highly recommend Leisure Limousine) and the quiet space to lay our weary heads aftrer a great show.
Keep up the great nonprofit work. We are leaving a donation on behalf of your loving efforts.
Alan, Bonnie, Peter, Gary and the rest of the gang!
We had a great stay, although too short! We were visiting the area for a wedding in Newport. I had my children and grandchildren staying with us. Your garden, labyrinth and side yard were perfect place for the children to run and play. And the fire pit made for the perfect s'mores and late evening chatter an added bonus. The spacious inside again was just right for our large family. Thank you for opening up your home to vacationers.

We had a wonderful time in your beautiful home, Linda. Neither of our sons wanted to leave and we could hardly blame them!
Your home is a very spacious and special place and the perfect choice for our summer family vacation.
We saw deer nearly every evening running through the field and into the woods. it was beautiful!
Thank you, Linda.

Perfect is the word that comes to mind when I think about our summer vacation.
From our 6-year olds "frog searches" in your koi pond to sitting in the beautiful gardens watching the red tail hawks dance around us.
The handicap accessability made it possible for 3 generations of women to be together.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful place, Linda. And thank you for what you do for the cancer population.
We hope to see you again.
Our family had such a wonderful family reunion here in your spacious and gorgeous home and we wanted to express out thanks for making it available to us.
Getting up in the morning and walking the beautiful labyrinth with our coffee was such a perfect was to start the day.
The location was perfect and the treats you left behind were so thoughful!
We will be back again.
Good luck with all that you do.
