Summer:
Summer is beautiful in Montana, and sitting on the back porch enjoying the outdoor fireplace is a great way take in the views. In addition to local hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting and fly fishing, Big Sky is only 18 miles from Yellowstone National Park, and about 1 hour to the West Yellowstone entrance.
Ski:
The Diamond Hitch location straddles both the Big Sky and Moonlight Basin resorts. Ski out to either the Iron Horse (Big Sky) or Pony Express (Moonlight Basin) lifts. Ski in from the Blue Moon ski run. You can snow shoe (provided) to the Moonlight lodge as well.
Golf:
There is a public golf course in the Big Sky meadow village, just down the mountain from the house.
