Wow what a great vacation property !

We have stayed in many properties in the US but have to say this beats them all ! We had spent time in New York and Boston and then to complete our vacation with a week here provided the perfect contrast. From driving through the private woods on first arrival you know it is going to be special. So peaceful on the owners estate with a lovely large pool right next to the house.
The location is great for exploring Rhode Island, Newport our favourite only a short drive away.
As for the house it was perfect for the three of us, little touches like providing a lot of basic requirements that you often have to purchase when renting other properties also worth noting. So we would recommend this to anyone wanting a rural location yet an easy drive to all the normal facilities, restaurants shop etc

Relaxing Family Getaway

My husband, two boys (ages 14 and 11) and I recently spent a week at the Perry House and have already planned a return trip for next summer. We were delighted with the house and its surroundings. The house itself was very spacious and well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. It was also very clean. The property it sits on is quite peaceful and, as a result, we slept well every night!

This was our second visit to coastal Rhode Island and we initially chose this particular property because of the inground pool. Unfortunately the weather didn't exactly cooperate the week that we visited, but we enjoyed the pool despite the clouds. The location is ideal. You can take several easy day trips - Block Island, Martha's Vineyard (taking the ferry out of Quonset), Newport, Pawtucket (for a PawSox game), Providence - or just spend the day at the beach or pool. There are also several good restaurants that are only a short drive away. Or, if you’re so inclined, you can cook a lobster dinner at the house – the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need.

We couldn't ask for anything more from a vacation stay and can't wait to return next year. I highly recommend this property.

Words simply cannot describe the absolute peace, beauty, graceful atmosphere we found in this home. The house is fully appointed with anything anyone might need, and then more. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable. The grounds are meticulously manicured and breathtaking. The host and hostess are two of the nicest people you can hope to meet and beyond accommodating; ready to help with the smallest need at a moments notice....a true lady and gentleman.
We sincerely hope to return soon.

A Perfect Retreat!

We recently spent two happy weeks at this lovely and totally comfortable house. I can't say enough positive things about the beauty of the estate it sits on and the utter graciousness of the owner. We truly felt that we were her cherished personal guests, rather than paying lodgers. It seemed that all our needs were anticipated and provided for and the owner was more than happy to offer fantastic recommendations for near and not so near restaurants and places to visit. The pool was a daily sanctuary for my elderly parents who could no longer enjoy the nearby beaches and many afternoons were spent relaxing under the gazebo there. The property was a perfect starting point for visiting all sorts of interesting nearby towns such as Wickford, Newport and my favorite, Watch Hill. I especially enjoyed lunching at Castle Hill in Newport per a recommendation from our fabulous host. Thank you Carroll!
