Close to all of San Diego's attractions: You are right across the bay from Sea World. The sky lights up every night in the summer and on Saturday nights in the off season with fireworks from Sea World. You are about 10 to 12 minutes from the city of San Diego, Lindbergh Field Airport, The World Famous San Diego Zoo, and Balboa Park. You can easily walk to restaurants and shops from this location. Enjoy Belmont Park also in Mission Beach and about a 10 minute walk.

Golf: We have many wonderful golf courses in San Diego.

It is night 5 of our week long stay here, July 11th - 18th, 2009. We are a family of 4 (kids are 7 and 4). This place is worth every penny! The location is absolutely ideal. The Pacific side beach (Mission Beach) is a very, very short walk away. That beach offers all the action / people watching and waves for the kids to play in. The calm bayside beach is literally directly below us. The kids have an endless capacity for beach play which they can do this on the bayside beach while we are inside or on the patio watching. The first few days we were here the temperatures reached the high 80's (88 I believe) and the locals all complained (at least on the news) about the heat wave. The place remained cool and comfortable.
All the fixtures and trim are are of top quality, solid construction. If you're on the patio during the day you will be part of tourists' photos as many people take pictures of the building. You will enjoy the nightly fireworks from Seaworld which are easily viewed from the patio, living room and even from the master bed - a nice way to end the day and roll over and go to sleep. Lots of large windows - amazing views of the bay.
The kitchen and laundry facilities are well equipped, the bathrooms luxurious and closets roomy. We felt comfortable and at home in our family's short stay away.
We tried tried hard to come up with any short comings regarding this property. Thinking hard we could only agree that some of the light switches would be better suited if they were on dimmer switches. Yeah, that's it. That's all we could think of. That this is our only comment says everything about the quality level of the property and it reflects level of construction and finishing. Everything is top quality and there is nothing "flimsy" or cheap.
We leave in a day and a half and we are not looking forward to it. We settled in very quickly. We already have fond memories. Very short drive to Seaworld, Old Town, Balboa Park, a little longer to Legoland.
Shirley was very helpful recommending restaurants and giving us a tour of the place.
