Free City bus picks up at Viewpoint Rd. and Main. No need to drive. This property was purchased in hopes to create a home away from home for mountain, outdoor, and life enthusiasts. Mammoth Lakes, and the Sierras have a rich history of exploration, beauty, and a certain artistry which is immortalized in the great outdoors itself.

This special mammoth home away from home is comfortable, clean, close to everything and affordable.
With our family loving the outdoor and family time; Mammoth is the best get away anytime of year to make lasting memories. With such a love for the Eastern Sierras it felt so natural to own a piece of it. So, we ventured into purchasing this condo. Our goal was to create a home away from home, with affordable luxury, for us and our renters. We hope you'll enjoy all that Mammoth Lakes has to offer. You'll want to keep coming back too!
Also, hiking and fishing in the summer is a wonderful experience.
James or Joanne purchased this condo in 2012
Mammoth Lakes is the greatest mountain destination in the United States. This mountain is a relatively close drive from LA, San Fransisco, Reno, and Las Vegas. It boasts 3,000 acres of ski/board terrain and 400+ inches of snow a season. With Yosemite right in its backyard and the rest of the Eastern Sierras surrounding the area, it is a true Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. You can not forget that this is Southern California; 300 days of sun a year.
No need to drive. Short Walking distance to the The Village, and all its shops, entertainment, restaurants and activities. Free bus service all over town with bus stop at the bottom of our driveway.
The condo was ideal for us. It was well stocked with supplies for a pleasant stay. We were able to heat almost entirely with the wood that was available for the fireplace. Although it was cold and wintry outside, we were cozy in the condo. The living room furniture was especially comfortable for curling up with a good book.
It was nice to be able to cook most of our meals there instead of eating out. There were even sharp knives. The condo complex was quiet and so was the town- a good change from the madness of Orange County.
I stayed for a week with my two kids. We really enjoyed the condo. The location is perfect...a short walk to the ski area. The jacuzzi is a must after a long day in the snow. Joanne answerd my questions and was very helpfull.
Our recent stay at Mammoth Lakes was incredible! The condo was homey and exceptionally comfortable. The amenities provided exceeded all expectations! From a fully furnished kitchen to a bubbly hot jacuzzi on property, it really felt like a home away from home. The fireplace that burned real wood made for a wonderfully cozy-warm mountain experience. The view from the kitchen table of snow kissed mountains was memorable and much appreciated. The Village was within walking distance as well as the Gondola for a quick ride up to the mountain. We can't wait to come back and stay in your fantastic place!
This was our second stay at the condo. The location is perfect - a block from the Village. We wandered over there three times during our stay. The condo itself is really comfy and nice with everything you could possibly need. And we were really happy to see a beautiful new flat screen TV - loved watching videos on the DVD player at night and a little Sunday football. We enjoyed the spa and sauna. There is a pool but we didn't have a chance to swim this time. Also, played ping pong and shot pool in the rec room. Monday we took out a pontoon boat at Lake Mary and it was beautiful. Did some hiking too. Can't wait until our next visit!!!!!!!!
I had a very nice stay, everything was convienient, clean and well cared for. I will stat there again.
I contacted the owners with this information and they did not reply.
While we appreciated the opportunity to stay at the condominium there were some issues a renter should be made aware of:
1. The couch's fold out bed is extremely uncomfortable.
When I awoke the first morning, I found my 16 year old son curled up in the arm chair.
I asked him what he was doing and he said the bar in the couch's bed hurt his back and despite even trying to put his head at the foot of the bed he couldn't get away from the bar.
Thinking that perhaps he was exaggerating I took the couch on Monday night. It was very uncomfortable and made for a long night.
Perhaps an easy fix would be an egg crate or a mattress top that still allows the couch to close?
As a result of neither of us being up for another poor night's sleep we left the condo and returned home yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon instead of Wednesday by 11:00 am as scheduled.
2. The fan in the bathroom is broken and needs replacement.
It is extremely loud and does not remove odor. No one could stand the noise long enough to use it.
3. The DVD player will not play on the TV.
When we settled in for a family movie we discovered that the remote for the DVD couldn't move the icon and the movie could not be played.
On a side note, all of the remotes definitely need new batteries.
4. The TV has many black lines that hover across the screen when you are watching a show.
5. The inside of the shower curtain has mildew on it.
6. The "clear" shower mat is so scarred with mildew that we removed it and stored it under the bathroom sink.
7. The first two days the wifi repeatedly dropped our shows and work. The next day the wifi did improve. Perhaps other
people in the complex were having the same issue and it was resolved.
Although we have friends that list their properties with VERBO, this was our first experience renting with VERBO.
Perhaps, if a person does not reside near their property things can deteriorate in quality without the owner even being aware of the circumstances.
The good news is that all of these fixes are quick and inexpensive. This property has a convenient location and the town of Mammoth is lovely and endless fun.
This is a great location and nice unit. I stayed with my two kids and had a fantastic time. We appreciated the easy parking and access to the outdoors directly from the unit. The Viewpoint condo complex is great where there is a jacuzzi, steam room, pool table and ping pong - a great place for teens to go to have fun in the late afternoon/evening after skiing. The condo is well appointed and clean and we loved that it's a short walk to the Village. The owners left us plenty of wood to use for the fireplace. Overall, a great stay. I would definitely recommend for a family of 4.
