BLUE HERON- DOWNTOWN-TRAVERSE CITY CONDO

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Blue Heron even though it was chilly November! Upon arrival we were immediately greeted and given a tour by Lisa who does the housekeeping and was very helpful in recommending restaurants, etc. The condo was immaculately clean, spacious, updated,and thoughtfully deocorated. Not to mention, a bottle of wine and nuts were set out and the kitchen was even stocked with several food items (I was happy to find peanut butter that i had on my bagel one morning). Also, there were 2 varieties of Starbucks coffee grinds for guest use - very nice touch! The decor is really something to see - the beach/nautical theme runs throughout and is so tastefully done. There is a variety of really great Traverse City related artwork thorughout that is really special. Now on to the location - superb! We walked down Front St. every day and went to shops, restaurants, breweries, the theatre, etc. It was cold and even snowed one night but we were close enough that it didn't stop us from walking to and from town. Perfect. Now I just can't wait to hopefully return in a warmer month so we can take advantage of enjoying a glass of wine on the 2 balconies and also the beach! We did, however, have lots of fun playing different board games and card games that were on stock. As for the person who wrote the review below stating the condo is not as offered...we did not feel that way AT ALL. Our expectations were not only met but exceeded. Yes, there is a McDonalds across one of the streets but we saw that as a bonus and walked there to get coffee a couple mornings (tried not drink all the starbucks in the fridge)! Also, the woman below said the bedrooms are on the third floor but this is not true. The condo is a 2-story (which we also saw as a bonus) on the second floor of the complex to be accurate. We found it delightful and can't wait to return! Thank you, Carolyn!!

Warm and cheery in the Blue Heron on a cold and dreary November weekend in Traverse City. TImely, accurate communiation from the start, great location. Walk to downtown in 5 minutes. Clean spacious condo with a very nice kitchen arrangement and washer and dryer upstairs. Rental agent very timely to meet for key exchange, and that was the beginning of a great stay. Thank you Carolyn for providing such nice service and well appointed condo.

We were extremely disappointed to enter the condo and find that the direct view from the first floor balcony was of MacDonald's back parking lot and homes and yards next to the above. NOT AS ADVERTISED AND SHOWN IN YOUR AD and not taken from this condo's balcony. The only view of a park, boat and water must be achieved by hanging over the balcony and turning your head to the left -- it is a very small view indeed. NOT AS ADVERTISED We also discovered that both bedrooms are on the third level. NOT AS ADVERTISED What we did see was clean, but not as fresh and clean as your pictures indicate. After driving for over 5 hours to reach Traverse City, your agent managed to arrange for accommodations at a local hotel and we appreciated her help. Glad to see you re-wrote your description of your condo Carolyn. Now you need to do away with the "View from your balcony" shot. The rest of our stay in Traverse City and surrounding areas was wonderful. J B
