THE PROPERTY:
Peaceful and serene is how our guests always describe Rushing Waters Cabin, a rustic cabin sitting just feet from a rushing, meandering creek in an ENCHANTED SETTING. The creek borders the heavily-wooded 2-acre lot for 250 feet! The creek ranges from mild to rushing white water. If you are fortunate enough to be there after rain you'll enjoy a roaring creek that looks like a terraced waterfall. Always cool creekside - even in summer. Enjoy the views and sounds of the creek from the sleeping porch with its gas fireplace, or from the comfort of the window seat or the leather sofa in the living area, with its huge wood-burning fireplace. The creek is lit for evening enjoyment. If you have ever stayed creekfront, you know that no location compares or is more relaxing. If you haven’t stayed creekside, you HAVE TO experience it ... and this is as good as it gets!
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:
There are so many wonderful mountain experiences waiting for you here in the Lake Chatuge area ! The Tusquittee area is a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. We are minutes from Lake Chatuge, the Jewel of the Mountains, undoubtedly the most beautiful lake in the mountain area, providing ample opportunities for waterside dining and excellent fishing and boating (10 minutes) The lakeside town of Hiawassee (10-15 minutes) has excellent shopping and dining with beautiful views of Lake Chatuge. The picturesque alpine village of Helen with waterfront dining and shopping, plus tubing on the river in summer. (30-40 minutes) Golf at Brasstown Resort (15-20 minutes) Not to mention, nearby horseback riding, hiking trails, and antique shopping. Whitewater rafting and stunning waterfalls are 1-2 hours away.Other nearby cities include Asheville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Highlands. Plan to stay awhile ... there’s so much to do! We welcome your pets. Home is aired out regularly and super clean - no mustiness or pet odor.
Small children are OK but you must supervise them at all times.
Property is available for a 3 to 6-month lease from November 1 2009 to April 30 2010. Take a sabbatical from your high-stress job or arrange to work remotely - you deserve it. Contact us for details.
