Pink Perfection!
OK....perfection may be a strong word. Although not everyone will love the Pink House as much as our family did, for us it was a perfect vacation home.
This is a funky beach house with charm and character - not a generic, sterile hotel or house. Everything from the art on the walls and the furnishings to the library (chock full of guide books for local attractions and good "beach reads") and the outdoor shower made us feel instantly at-home.
We were 5 adults and one toddler and we were all comfortable - especially on the back deck - stretching out under the ceiling fan on the lounger, eating dinner at the large table or catching up on the day's events in the Adirondack chairs...all with a view of the ocean, which is steps from the back stairs.
As promised, so many amenities were within easy walking distance - library (children's reading hour was great!); rec center with pool, tennis courts, basketball, yoga, pilates, nature walk and a limbo contest (seriously!); grocery; and restaurants (walk on the beach to get there, if you like!).
Owner, Silvia, is very accommodating with any issues or concerns. She is lovely and her restaurant has the best margaritas on the island!
We will remember.....walks on the beach at sunset with the perfect light for fabulous photos; shallow waters great for small children; parasailing and water sports about 10 minutes up the beach; sunny days and festive or relaxed evenings. We are looking forward to reliving it all on our next visit to our Pink Perfection. :)
