I'm not allowed enough space in other areas to make everything clear so always simply email me with questions but I'll also try a bit here.
You may hold dates if 90 days in advance or more with only a $500 deposit, not to be confused with the $500 security deposit that will be charged with full payment due within 90 days. If you cancel before 90 days you only have to pay a 3% cancellation fee on the deposit only ($15). Reserving ahead not only gets you the dates you want but also locks in the price which as you can tell from my calendar with demand so high, it is very likely I will be raising rates at any time now.
All details will be sent to you in my standard contract once you've chosen dates, and will clearly state all fees. You are still under no obligation until you return it signed and complete whatever payment is due. Also though, I too am under no obligation to hold dates until same is done. Very often people want overlapping dates so I have one rule: first to pay gets it.
House History:
Well people ask so here is. House built in 2000 and designed as a luxury vacation rental with amenities like no other. The designer had it right because what sets this house aside from so many other choices are the unique amenities. I bought the house in 2004 and still had guests on the calendar so I gave it a try. The house has always rented more often, far above other houses. When I decided to no longer use a management agency in late 2007 I forwarded the savings on to the guests. The house has since booked much more often than ever despite the economy. Everyone Loves the home, thousands of guests have stayed here! Pricing compares to houses similar in size but without the amenities. So why stay in just any house when you can stay in a castle? My best deals are if last minute, meaning with 7 days, you do not see dates booked then I will discount and make you a great deal! These deals are rare though so if you want your choice of dates plan well ahead. Always just ask me anything.
Availability Calendar:
I don't know why but this website chooses to display a very confusing angle shaded calendar that makes one wonder which days are open and which are not with the angled shading crossing over dates which some are taken and others not. Easiest to simply contact me and I'll always make everything perfectly clear, don't be shy.
Ski:
This home is only about 5 miles to Heavenly Ski Resort which offers great slopes and the best views of the Lake below.
Golf:
See why Tiger chooses to have a home here in Tahoe. The thin air allows the fall to really take off. There are plenty of nice golf courses here and a driving range and course are only about 2 miles from this home.
