Chateau Marmotte at Hyak (Snoqualmie Pass)

We really enjoyed our time here - two-car garage, washer/dryer, comfortable seating, 4 large beds with a fold-out couch, clean, and very charming with a nice view. Having a pretty well stocked kitchen with nice appliances (bring your own food) was a bonus. It's only a few minute walk to the Iron Horse trail train tunnel (dress warm, even in the summer - it's freezing in there!) It was closer to I-90 than I had realized and it's in a sort of neighborhood of ski cabins so there are going to be other some other people/buildings in the vicinity. But, the driveway and front yard are big enough to have a BBQ and spread out with reasonably privacy.
There were some minor damages (part of the counter broken off, toilet paper holder broken, upstairs windows don't stay open), presumably from previous visitors, but with a rental property I suppose that's going to happen and it didn't really affect the overall experience. One notable problem though - the railing on the outside deck needs to be replaced. One person too many lean on that and it feels like it might give way. Overall though Chateau Marmotte was worth every penny and the owner was professional, responsive, reasonable, and fair.
