Located at the quieter end of famous Seven Mile Beach, our perpetually updated, ground floor, corner condo is ideal for young and old alike. The beautiful clear blue ocean is just steps from our fully screened patio. Whether you like to kick back under a thatched hut, or snorkel in the underwater wonderland, it is just seconds from your condo.
The fresh water pool and hot tub are perfectly located oceanfront, and serve as a great place to refresh and relax with a fabulous view. If you enjoy tennis, we have two tennis courts for your use. And if you go to the Cayman Islands for world-renowned SCUBA diving, we have a rinsing/drying station behind the office.
Inside our condo you will find all the conveniences of home. We have HD flatscreen televisions and cable in the living room and each of the bedrooms. Each of the two bathrooms has full walk-in showers. For those of you who desire to stay connected back home, we have free WiFi for our Guests. Just bring your laptop.
The kitchen was recently remodeled with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything you need.
All towels and linens are provided. Housekeeping service is daily, except Sundays and holidays. There is a washer and dryer in the hall closet for your use. The on-sight management is outstanding, and they can help you with just about anything. A large, modern grocery store is about a mile up the road. A wide array of restaurants is a short drive away.
If you are looking for adventure, there are many water sports available in the area, along with horseback riding, and of course Sting Ray City is a must. But don't forget to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
We never request wire transfers or personal checks. All monetary transactions are through our on site management of Discovery Point Club.
We wanted to find a beautiful, safe, oceanfront condo to make memories with our family. We found it.
Shelly purchased this condo in 2005
Discovery Point Club is one of the best locations on Grand Cayman. It always ranks high in travel forums. We love the ground floor. Easy access in and out from the beach works perfectly for our family.
On land, we have an excellent sandy beach with many palapas and umbrellas. In the water, we have fantastic snorkeling straight out from our ground floor condo. Additionally, Cemetery Beach is just a 10 minute walk or swim north.
This was our first visit to Grand Cayman and we would highly recommend this property. Shelly was so helpful and the condo was great - clean, spacious and well decorated, exactly like the pictures. We snorkeled every day and some of the best snorkeling was right at our own beach. We were sure to be back by 6 PM to see the most beautiful sunsets right from our beach. We rented a car which I would recommend because we were able to see the entire island. Every place we stopped was unique and the people we met were so friendly. Miss Ollie and Ann Rose were so helpful. Alfresco's was a great place to eat, and Macabuca Grill at Cracked Conch was our favorite. It did not open until Friday or we would have been there again. Although we are not much for "touristy" things we did go to stingray city with Capt. Marvin and that was well worth doing. Can't wait to return, and we would definitely stay here again!.
Nous avons passé 10 jours dans ce petit paradis. La vue est superbe, l'emplacement est parfait et le service est extraordinaire.
Nous y retournerions sans problème!
Best condo ever! Discovery point condos is like coming home! Everyone is so nice and friendly. The water is the best I have been. So relaxing. The condo is great cuz it is ground level and has everything you could possibly want. The view is amazing. Shelley was great to work with. We are already planing to go back!!
We are so happy we decided to try this condo. Shelly is the best, so helpful with any questions you might have. We even heard it from the staff. Their unit is very, very comfortable and so nicely furnished. Having the washer and dryer helps alot. The pictures surely don't lie, it is every bit as nice as it seems. We were always given fresh towels and housekeeping was outstanding. The property is very well maintained, and has nice landscaping. The pool area is large with tons of seating and nice big tables. I like the shade they provide around the beach.
The grocery store, Foster's, is so nice and close too. We were recommended a couple of restaurants that are at that end that we enjoyed, Al Fresco and Timbuctuu. They both do take out as well. I would definetly recommend this property. We certainly will be back again.
Shelley, the owner of the property, is very prompt & thorough with her emails & information. This reflects upon her house in DPC too. My husband & I were very impressed with her & how she handled all our questions & her prompt responses. We went during ‘off-season’, so Shelley gave us a heads-up of some construction in the next development that was going to take place. We found out that she was very up-front with that information even though we did not ask. However, that did not stop us from renting her unit.
Once we got there, and like other reviews have mentioned, the 1st floor unit was literally beachfront! It was breathtaking (both the view & the house). It was easy access to the beach & my kids (9 & 6 yrs) were flabbergasted, to say the least :)
The house was very well equipped as we cooked & ate in 4 of the 7 days. Yes, I enjoy to cook so it was a true vacation for me too. I took the bus to Fosters & bought food for us. It was safe & the drivers were friendly & helpful.
The pool area was very clean with the bins of water to wash off sand from your feet. There were plenty of cabana’s & as was the shade.
The construction next door it did not bother us too much as we were always our & about during the day. We tried Stingray bar, snorkeling, walking in the town watching the cruise crowds & long walks on the beach. Loved the convenience of washer & dryer in the unit too, especially with 2 kids.
Ms. Ollie was very informative (just like Shelley), friendly & warm.
It was definitely one of the best family vacations we have had! We look forward to going back to Shelley’s place in the near future.
From the minute I inquired about DP, Shelly, the owner, was extremely helpful, so it was an easy decision to stay here. Before our trip, she sent us pages of helpful information which included directions, restaurants, activities, etc. The condo...Being on the ground floor was fantastic. We had easy access to the beach and pool, which is necessary with a 3 year old and 8 year old. The condo itself is lovely. It has been updated and is very comfortable and spacious. Diane, the housekeeper, came in everyday (except Sunday). She was friendly and helpful. Outside of the condo we had easy access to the palapas hut, as shade was necessary midday. The pool deck had some nice large tables with umbrellas. There was plenty of pool floats and sand toys on the property so there is no need to bring any. The entrance into the sea was a mixture of sand and rocks. It was a perfect balance for wading/swimming/snorkeling. The pool area and beach were well maintained. Jorain, sp?, a grounds keeper, gave us a tutorial about coconuts and opened a few up for us to taste. He also made the boys coconut candy, which was delicious. We always ate breakfast and lunch in the condo. We shopped at Kirk's in 7 Mile Beach. It was very expensive but it had all of the food/brands we like. Restaurants we ate at were Pappagallo, which was better the first time we went to Cayman 5 years ago, Ortanique, in Camana Bay, which was excellent, The Cracked Conch, a romantic restaurant on the water, (my mom watched the boys), Luca, in the Caribbean Club, and Eduarodo's. We also did take out from Eats Cafe, which was very reasonably priced. When we went out to explore the island, my boys enjoyed the Pirate Caves and the Blow Holes. We also went to Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park. It had some amazing plants and flowers, but we rushed through it because we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. If you go, go in the morning and bring lots of bug spray. We did a snorkeling excursion to Stingray sandbar and two other snorkeling sites. We used Captain Brian's. We had a blast. Miss Ollie, the manage at DP, is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer most questions we had about the island. We had a fantastic trip. Thanks Shelly!
