Enjoy a stroll around the corner to the beautiful Shoreline Park, a sprawling 1.5 mile long grassy green park on the ocean bluffs. This park offers gorgeous ocean and island views, bike and foot paths, tables and barbeque pits, a park for the kids, and several beach access points including Leadbetter Beach, where surfers come to learn! Follow the bike path thru the Marina and enjoy a game of volleyball on the sand at the public West Beach courts, set amongst the picturesque harbor. Or walk down to the impressive Stearn’s Wharf, complete with a brand new Marine Center and family friendly restaurants.
A short ride or walk in the opposite direction will take you to several parks or to the 70 plus acres of open, ocean front bluffs of the Douglas Family Preserve (five minutes away) scattered with trails open to the public and spectacular sunset views! From here make the choice to enjoy the popular Mesa Lane Beach or Arroyo Burro Beach (known to locals as Hendry’s or The Pit), which has a full restaurant and snack bar. Dolphins and whales are spotted at this beach daily!
