This 2nd floor spacious, 2 bedroom duplex is located in the Crocus Hill area of St. Paul. Trendy Grand Avenue is 1 block away with its cafes, bakeries, restaurants and shopping.
A grocery store is within walking distance. Historic Summit Avenue is 2 blocks away. Summit Avenue was named one of the '10 Great Streets for 2008' by the American Planning Association.
We are located 15 minutes from the St. Paul, Minneapolis airport, 10 minutes from downtown St. Paul and 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Both are accessible by bus.
We are near St. Thomas, Macalester Universities as well as William Mitchell law school. Augsburg, Metropolitan State University, St Catherine, Concordia, the University of Minnesota, are all under 20 minute drives.
The Megamall is a 20 minute drive.
We are located near Minnehaha Park and Como Park. The Mississippi River, with walking and bicycle paths, is 2 miles from us.

I grew up in St. Paul and love the city. I love the city, the history, the wonderful old architecture. I never tire of walking through the old sections of St. Paul.

It is a great area with lots to do, public transportation, restaurants. It is centrally located and within walking distance of many fine restaurants, cafes, grocery stores. We love living in an area filled with historic homes. Although we are located between 2 downtowns, it is quiet here and full of many mature trees.
Everyone loves the large front porch. You feel as if you live in the Maple trees surrounding it. The kitchen is also very usable.
Thank you for providing a homey, comfortable place while we settled our son at college. We are grateful that we got to spend time getting to know the area. We hope to be back within the four years he will be here.
We really enjoyed our stay in St. Paul. The location is great. We could walk everywhere or take the public transportation to either downtown. (The light rail is about 1 mile away and goes quickly to both downtowns- St. Paul or Minneapolis). The kitchen is well equipped.
I have stayed here before. I love the location near Grand Ave. I can walk everywhere. Coffee shops, restaurants. There is a great grocery store within 4 blocks. Especially I love the front porch. It gives you such a feeling of privacy even though it is in the city.
Our Swedish friends and we enjoyed a brief but charming stay at Gerry's 2 bedroom 1920's era apartment. She has maintained a nice balance of old and new. Original woodwork, fixtures, even period furniture, while adding modern conveniences including air conditioning, dish washer, shower and new windows. The porch is very charming on a warm summer's eve. The neighborhood appears safe and was peaceful during our stay. We'd come back for sure.
This upper duplex's secret weapon is its screened in front porch, nestled in the trees. Excellent location, quiet yet close to the hub of this area.
We have been enjoying our stays here for several years while our daughters have been attending colleges nearby. This clean and well maintained property enables one to experience St. Paul’s historic charm while providing many conveniences and comforts of a home. The duplex is located in a historic, prestigious and safe neighborhood.
The photos are an accurate reflection of the amenities. We have pleasant memories of meals shared around the dining room table, evenings in the summer breeze on the porch and cozy comfortable nights in spacious rooms. The furniture accents the style of the home comfortably. The kitchen is an efficient work space providing necessities and a unique pantry. The bathroom is accommodating.
Parking is always available although at times festive Grand Avenue only a block away has congested the streets. We have stayed here both with and without a vehicle. The neighborhood has everything one may want within walking distance. Frequent public transportation is readily available.
One of my favorite morning activities is to take a brisk walk on Summit Avenue towards the Mississippi River or the Cathedral. I have even made it as far as Hidden Falls Park and the James J. Hill Library near Rice Park downtown. Favorite evening activities have included musicals and operas at the Ordway, dinning out at the Lexington just around the corner, at the St. Paul Bar and Grill, or Kincaid’s. The science museum has also been a favorite place to visit along with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Walker and Guthrie Theater.
When visiting in St. Paul we find ourselves booking this one when it's available because of accessibility, reliance and affordability. We have and will continue to recomend this rental to family and friends .

This is located in a very walkable area. Grand Ave. has coffee shops, bars, shops close by. Summit Ave. is historic and a great place to walk. The Mississippi River is 3 miles away with its bike trails. Minnehaha Falls Park is an easy bike ride plus other River Parks such as Fort Snelling State Park, Crosby Farm Park. There is the Grandview Movie theatre 1 and 1/2 mile away. Two large grocery stores, Kowalskis (within a half mile) and Whole Foods, are near by. Either downtown (Minneapolis or St. Paul) are an easy bus ride or light rail ride away.
