Great place - all the conveniences

A wonderful gem! Very quiet and secluded even though it is walking distance to the main road. We swam, barbecued, threw the Frisbee, sat in the sun, played guitar, made s'mores over the fire, waved sparklers, and had a great time. The lake water at the little beach was just the right temperature and clear. We did not canoe, although it would have been easy to do so and there were paddles and some life jackets. It is a quick drive to a big full service grocery store and there is a convenience store and some small restaurants within walking distance. Suggest bringing some water bottles: well water is perfectly safe but has an iron taste to it (as most wells do in that area of NH). Hidden treasure: Walk across the main road at the west end of the street to find a network of quiet, traffic-free, rustic dirt roads excellent for walking, jogging, or biking.
