Beautiful Lakefront Log Home - 150 Feet of Sandy Bottom Lakefront

7 girlfriends from the Ohio/Pennsylvania areas wandered up to beautiful Long Lake in Michigan greatly anticipating our annual getaway. We are picky about where we stay on our getaways, and this Log Home met our requirements nicely.

The pictures are spot on, it's a gorgeous layout with fascinating decorating items. We ate in a lot and found the kitchen adequately equipped. Maybe a few more wine glasses for this bunch would have been nice!

The view is spectacular off the family room and back deck. Many stairs to the waterfront, but an easy travel. The kayaks were a big hit. We were so impressed with the boat house and it's easy access to the kayaks, and then easy launch into the lake.

We used the fire pit for some spectacular smores one evening. One of us is a professional photographer and she loved the many photo options.

Going into Traverse City is a breeze. Great place to shop, bike, walk and eat.
Trip to the dunes was also a highlight for this group. Loved Moomers icecream, putt putt golf, Cherry Cottage Boutique, Blue Tractor Grill, Mesa Grill and the TART.

Probably the only negative for those of us who slept in the basement was the lingering smoke smell from the wood burning fireplaces.

We would definitely recommend friends and family to stay in this home. Dennis is easy to work with and has nearby neighbors to assist should a need arise. We received our deposit back promptly.

This home was truly stunning! It looks exactly like the pictures you will view on this page. We are just sorry that it snowed while we were there and couldn't kayak out to one of the islands. The views were so beautiful and we were able to relax and enjoy this warm and inviting home. Dennis couldn't have been more accomodating as well.

We are 2 couples who were fortunate enough to escape to this gem of a cabin for a 5-day getaway. Upon arrival, Dennis greeted us warmly and graciously spent just enough time showing us the ins & outs needed for our stay. We settled in with the lighting of a matchstick as the fireplace was already prepared and beckoned our attention as the first detail of which to attend. We nestled ourselves in the cozy hearth area reading magazines, books, enjoying coffee, wine and conversation. We cooked great meals, eating out only a few times...enjoying the likes of Sleder's Tavern, The Jolly Pumpkin and North Peak Brewery....all very recommended! One afternoon, we tore ourselves away from our cocoon to hike accross the frozen lake to the island and played outdoors in the snow. Overall, we reveled in the nothingness of our calendar and begged for it not to end! The rustic elegance of this cabin is most inviting....very clean. Dennis & Karen are impressive in their attention to detail. I inquired ahead of time if a mixer was at the cabin as I wanted to do some baking....Dennis brought his stand alone Kitchen Aid from home so I didn't have to deal with a hand mixer! {now that's service!} The proximity to Traverse City (12 minutes) makes this a great location for doing/seeing other things, however, you will find it difficult to leave as you just can't wait to get back! I really struggle for a constructive criticism as there isn't one in our minds....I only could say I missed our King sized bed as I prefer lots of leg room when I sleep.
