Casa Las Palmas: Casa Las Palmas: Located in the quaint seaside village of Cocles, a couple km south of Puerto Viejo. Let the breeze gently lull you to sleep, or lounge in your garden hot tub. This Cocles hottie will give you a break after a night at the disco, or riding the waves. Stroll down the road to the best little Internet café and grill on the Caribbean coast. Its all happening right here! This home offers you a uniquely Caribbean experience with lattice work walls upstairs, a full American style kitchen, master bedroom and bath. Downstairs is another seating area, guest bedroom and full bath. Both baths have showers and the garden comes with a hot-tub and covered party house. The house also has TV. Come and relax. We have a caretaker and daily maid service can be arranged. We are one of a 5 small villages stretching along the Coast, this is a wonderfully hip multi-national community full of life and delicious little places to eat and drink. Cocles is about 3km south of Puerto

GETTING THERE: Cocles is about 3km south of Puerto Viejo, and Puerto Viejo is about 150 miles from San Jose, the roads and traffic being what they are this is a 3.5 to 4.5 hour road trip. Its a beautiful drive, and you can either rent a car in San Jose or take the bus from the Caribbean Bus station ($7) and ride down that way. Buses leave about 6 times a day, the last one is at 4PM, be sure to specify that you are going to PUERTO VIEJO DE TALAMANCA (since there are two PV's) We ride the bus, which is fairly comfortable, and leave our car in Cocles. You can reach the bus station from the airport by taxi, it's about $20 for the taxi. Casa Palmas is the first right after 'La Terraza' restaurant and about 100 ft up the hill on the right.
