Green Turtle Cay was originally settled by fishermen so many of the older homes downtown have the white picket fences and gingerbread trim with pastel colours that are favoured in the Bahamas Out Islands.
Coco Sands is located on one of the highest points in Green Turtle Cay with beautiful views of sunset on the Sea of Abaco side, and sunrises on the Atlantic side. Fresh ocean breezes are a delight on our covered patio. Guests at Coco Sands can be busy all day, scuba diving, snorkeling, shelling, boating, taking trips to the beach, exploring New Plymouth's museums and quaint shops, or just taking advantage of the peace and tranquility to read a book you've brought or borrow one of ours. It's perfectly acceptable to do nothing at all, without any guilt. Coco Sands fully equipped kitchen, and BBQ grill, will be welcome for 'chefs' who want to cook their own catch after coming back from a day's fishing. Or if your catch wasn't cooperating, make quick reservations at the Green Turtle Club restaurant nearby. Great retreat for families or couples, and children love the freedom of this small island cay. Rediscover board games, cards, or just conversation and cocktails as you relax and unwind in Coco Sands laid back relaxed atmosphere.
Coco Sands 'regulars' spending a day Island hopping.
Green Turtle Cay has always been a well loved vacation spot for generations of our family. We love the peace and quiet, and the 'busy as you want to be' availability of all types of island fun from shelling to sunning to fishing. The relaxed island atmosphere lets us reconnect with each other and meet people from all over the world. We love it!
Getting back in touch with nature through the water, the sun, the breeze, and being able to relax away from the hustle and bustle of our daily hectic lives in the city. The freedom to walk the beaches, fish, and just enjoy each other's company without distractions is a plus for us. Coco Sands is always on our minds and we can't wait to get back each year.
Scuba diving, ocean and flats fishing charters, all available nearby.
