Overall very nice stay

This was my first time renting a townhouse and for the most part it was a pleasant experience. The rental process was quick and easy although I was surprised that the owner did not take PayPal/credit cards. I found Helen to be courteous and professional and once we agreed on pricing and dates, the rental process went quite smooth. The directions provided by Helen were clear and we found our townhouse quite easily. However, we struggled a bit with uncoding the Lockbox as it was dark and the porch light fixture was not working. John the security officer, changed the bulb but unfortunately could not get it to work. Once we went into the townhouse, we quickly realized that it had not been cleaned. Needless to say, I spent the evening changing linens, washing towels and cleaning bathrooms. I should note that I did leave a message for Helen. However, she did not return my call(s) but instead had her cleaning service call me the following day to schedule a time to come in to clean. At that point, I thought it was unneccesary as I've done most of the cleaning myself. In terms of the apartment itself, it was comfortable, well appointed and nicely decorated, although it would have been nice if we had wood for the wood burning stove.
Overall, I would recommend this townhouse to anyone. I believe that the issues we've encountered were not typical and simply some type of error or miscommunication between the owner and the cleaning service. It would have been nice if Helen would had called me directly but in all I am satisfied with our rental. The location (on the mountain) was very nice with easy access to the slopes. In all my family enjoyed the stay and we look forward to coming back to the Camelback area for next year's ski season.
