I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I personally built this home and am excited to share it with friends, family and friendly vacationers.
The Owner purchased this villa in 2009
The views and lifestyle are as good as it gets.
Malibu is very unique in that although the feeling is very laid back it is still within metropolitan Los Angeles. This property is very similar in that it is very private and serene, it is only minutes away from all the action.
We stayed a week at Casa Bella and loved it. We went with our 2 kids and at the end of the trip I took a vote and it was 4 out of 4 enthusiastic votes in favor of staying there again. The views are spectacular!! The rooms are comfortable and there is a great view from every room. The kids loved having their own room and tv. We bought pastries and snacks and could have breakfast with breathtaking views on our balcony. We loved strolling through Malibu with fun places to eat, movies, restaurants, stores, easy access to beaches. It's a quiet peaceful neighborhood high on the hill with amazing sights but easy/quick access to the center of town. We watched the fireworks from our balcony. We had a bbq on the main balcony which was really fun. We could hear the waves at night and slept with the windows open to enjoy the sounds and woke up to the ocean in the morning. We enjoyed a glamorous vacation in Malibu.
It was a short drive to Universal studios, the ocean, Beverly Hills, billionaire's beach, UCLA, and Getty's museum. The house itself is beautiful and it was a pleasure just to sit in our room or in the balcony and enjoy a drink with a view.
Eric was wonderful. He had made careful preparations before our arrival. He was helpful with getting us anything we needed or answering questions and making us feel at home. He and his wife had kindly left us some snacks and beverages and paper plates/utensils/etc and lots of fluffy towels. He gave us privacy and was absolutely unobtrusive and absent when we wanted to enjoy family time. He's built the house himself and clearly took a lot of pride in it and it was meticulously maintained.
What can I say. We absolutely loved it.
We just spent a week in this lovely home in Malibu and enjoyed it immensely. There are two nice sized bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, as well as a small kitchen area with a table and 3 chairs, microwave and small frig. It was very clean and well-appointed . . . lush towels, comfortable bedding, beautiful hardwood floors, even beach towels and a couple of beach chairs were available. Use of the owner's upper patios was made available to us (both open and covered areas) and they provided us with the most spectacular views of the ocean, which you can actually hear! The home is gorgeous and you will feel as if you are a rich, Hollywood mogul living in this place! It is located in a very quiet hilltop spot, a few hundred feet from the Pacific Coast Highway. Many beaches are nearby, and it was quick and easy to get to Santa Monica, if Malibu is too quiet for you. Dukes was a great nearby place for Fish Taco's. Pepperdine is right up the road as well. Check out the Inn of the Seventh Ray if you want a romatic place for dinner. We hiked at Temescal, which was great and challenging! This home is a great choice for a week or so; it's a little small, but we had four people in it for the week, and it worked out fine. We ate all of our meals out, except for one take-out at a local Thai place. Finally found the Coffee Beanery at Cross Creek in Malibu at the end of the week, which is a good alternative to Starbucks! The owner was very helpful, offered to assist with anything we needed, but left us alone to enjoy our week. Overall, it was a great experience. I'd highly recommend!
Wonderful in every way. Fantastic location, the owner couldn't be more helpful, the apartment feels brand new and is super clean every time we stay.
The views are the best in Malibu and it is within easy driving distance of restaurants, beach access is only 3 minutes, canyon walks and Santa Monica is only 15 minutes away.
We love it because you can see and hear the waves crashing on the beach below, see the sun rise and set on the ocean, watch the lights of LA (queens necklace) at night and there is no traffic noise at all. The road is very private and safe (cul de sac) I would highly recommend it to anyone.
We stayed here for over a week in 2011 with our 2 small children and very much enjoyed ourselves. Eric the owner was exceptionally welcoming and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We were able to put (our own) travel cots in the second bedroom for the kids.
Although we were encouraged to use the upper deck above the apartment, which includes a BBQ, we didn't use it much, or the outside sofa area next to it (also pictured). They are very nice and exactly as pictured and shared with the main house.
There a little eating corner for 2 inside and we used the small fridge, kettle, coffee maker and toaster for quick breakfasts. No facilities for cooking, though, in case you're wondering.
The balcony (which both the bedrooms have doors on to) has a marvelous view of the California coastline including Catalina island, all the way down to Orange County on a clear day. We would come back after dark and watch the distant aircraft lights going into LAX, the night lights of Malibu shining off the sea and the big sky full of stars before the kids went to bed. Very beautiful.
The photos do accurately reflect the beauty and views from the house, which was perfectly clean and well-maintained. It is up on the hill, so a short drive to the beach. Parking is fine both outside the house and at the beach (we were there in Aug).
We would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering it for a visit.
We stayed at the Villa guest floor for our daughter's Pepperdine University graduation. My sister went with us so we had 3 adults. This is the place to stay while in Malibu. The king size bed was very nice and my sister said the queen was wonderful. She was even trying to see what brand the mattress was so she could buy for herself at home.
We enjoyed viewing the ocean every afternoon on the terrace. Very, very nice and private. In the mornings we would open doors to the terrace outside our bedroom and have coffee.. and of course admire the view. If you had 2 couples or a family you can have privacy.
You are very close to all the activities and restaurants in Malibu. If you have a Pepperdine graduate this is the place to stay. This is the place to stay even if you don't ....
I had emailed the owner on a schedule of us picking up the keys. And he said he would be there and greet us. Which he did, plus helped with the luggage up the stairs. Very kind, very sweet.
Need I say, more?
We are located in 'Close In' Malibu, meaning we are only 10 minutes to Santa Monica and only a good mile south of the Malibu Pier. Perfect for those that want to be in the laid back serenity of Malibu; while not being too far from all the action of shopping, sightseeing, dining and entertainment of Santa Monica, Los Angeles, & Hollywood.
