More about on-site activities::
There is easy access to the shore right beside the cottage where you can launch the available kayaks and canoe - or take in and out at the owner's dock right next door. You can explore the sparkling waters of Gouldsboro Bay as well as nearby West Bay and Joy Bay. Paddle alongside lobster buoys and lobster boats as you enjoy the views from the water of the pine studded granite coastline.
In addition to hiking the shoreline in either direction, it is also pleasant to walk along our quiet dead end road, and the trails beyond. Everyone you meet will give you a friendly greeting at the very least.
When the mackerel are running, fish from the owner's deep-water dock with a line that will bring up three at a time - no fishing license is required for ocean fishing.
Nearby Activities::

Winter Harbor is also home to Hammond Hall, the focus of many cultural events, especially in the summer.
About 20 minutes in the opposite direction is the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge where there are a variety of inland and shore trails for hiking - don't forget to bring your camera.
