This beautiful home, built in the mid-1850's, is located in the charming village of Montour Falls. The property is just minutes from Seneca Lake, award winning wineries, and the renowned Watkins Glen International race track. The falling waters from the famed Che-qua-ga falls can be heard from the home's beautifully manicured grounds and in-ground pool area. The home has a fully stocked, large kitchen, a laundry, is high speed wireless, has a gas grill, and is a short walk to the village. We supply linens, towels, bedding, and many suggestions to make your stay enjoyable. We are less than a half hour drive from Elmira, Corning, Ithaca, and Hammondsport. The owners own a catering business and are available to prepare special dining experiences for you. Special packages are available that include gourmet meals, sailing, wine tours, and special lady outings.

We are located 3 miles from Seneca Lake and downtown Watkins Glen. We are ten minutes from Watkins Glen International and 20 minutes from the famed Corning Glass Center. Montour Falls is 90 miles south of both Syracue and Rochester and 80 miles north of Binghamton. New York City is 4 1/2 hours away.

The kitchen, furniture, pool area and all other parts of the house and grounds should be left in the same condition as they were found. We do not expect you to run the vacuum, dust, or wash your sheets and towels. The cleaning fee ($150) will cover this service.

Local Knowledge: The property is now known as Rosemary's Legacy, after the former owner who took care of her family and gracious home for over 60 years. For well over 50 years, the family owned the area's most popular landmark restaurant, and as such, are certainly not strangers to the hospitality industry. Rosemary's husband was the mayor of the village, the democratic chairman of the county, and the longtime chairman of the board of the nearby hospital. The road leading to the hospital now bears his name. One of the owners of this property has been a lifelong resident of the village. The owners of Rosemary's Legacy literally know everyone in the area; with their huge contact base, they are able to make your stay most enjoyable. The Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake area are famed throughout the world. There is much to do for a family or for those looking for a romantic, peaceful getaway. The home is impeccably decorated, scrupulously clean, and is truly your home away from home.

This was a great house in a great location. The owner was very helpful, as this was our first time in town. The house was so beautiful, charming, and every other nice adjective you can think of! We will definitely be staying here on our return trips to Seneca Lake.
