A great cozy apartment on a quiet neighborhood street in the Yorkville section of Upper East Side Manhattan. Ideal for a family or group of friends who are visiting New York City for vacation or work. The Upper East Side is close to shopping, restaurants, groceries, parks and museums. A taxi can be hailed from our front door or walk to the subway or bus for easy travel to anywhere in the city. There is on-street free parking in our neighborhood or nearby overnight garages for a fee.
Great stay in Yorkville! Linda, the owner is very nice, available if you need anything at all! The apartment was clean and had plenty of towels and supplies for 8 girls. I hosted a bachelorette party in NYC and yes this apartment is not "downtown" but the location is great - plenty of resturants and shops to keep us busy during the day. Not too far from central park for a walk either.
My wife & I, plus her sister & husband, spent a most enjoyable four days in this lovely apartment. Although I have been to Manhattan many times before for business and pleasure, I was not aware that such a fantastic neighborhood as Yorkville existed. Everything you may need, from grocery stores, wine shops and a fantastic selection of affordable restaurants and carry-outs, is within easy walking distance. Plus, the scenic walkway along the East River and Carl Schurz Park is not to be missed. The nighttime view of the lighted buildings and bridges is gorgeous, and the entire area felt very safe day and night, with local residents and families strolling about at all hours. And it doesn’t hurt that New York’s mayor is a neighbor at nearby Gracie Mansion! Yorkville seems more like a small town, than a part of the New York metropolis. Yet the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park are within just a few blocks walking distance. The apartment was very comfortable for two couples, complete with a well equipped kitchen, and being able to enjoy quiet time in an actual back yard in New York was a rare treat. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting New York.
We spent Easter Weekend here with two families (seven people) and it was just perfect. Safe area, everything you could want. A quick subway/bus trip from the rest of Manhattan. Ate a few meals in (Agata & Valentina grocery a couple blocks away has amazing takeout and ready-to-eat food) and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants other times (Big Daddy's & The Mansion are good diners). Couldn't have been happier with the experience, and Linda was a helpful and enthusiastic host.
We spent 10 days in this wonderful apartment last month (October)
and was great.
The location worked just like we hoped...was a real neighborhood.
- the closeness of the East River and Carl Schurz Park.
- 5 blocks from the steps of Met Museum
- cozy Bistro " East End Kitchen" a block away
- Gristed's grocery around corner
- great Wine Shop around corner
- bus stop at end of street
- perfect escape from MidTown craziness
- ample room for visiting guests
- 15 minute cab ride from LaGuardia!
- owner always responsive and helpful!
All in all can't wait to be able to spend some more time in this place and in New York City
We were 3 couples and a toddler of 1.5 yr old. The apartment offered us great comfort and exactly what we expected during our two night stay in NYC. Understand that it is part of an old building, this well-aged apartment had that nice, charming "home" feel to it. The location was just right for us, as we wanted to be accessible to the Manhattan core attractions without having to rest in the middle of it.
Linda (owner), which we didn't a chance to meet in person, answered all of my inquiries effectively before and during our stay. A+ there.
I strongly recommend this affordable rental to simply anyone.
A fantastic place to stay. We visited for Easter. It is a beautiful apartment in a very nice, quiet area on the Upper East Side. Very family friendly. I would recommend this property to family and friends. Easy access to everything New York has to offer!

Duplex is between Central Park and East River Promenade, and near Museum Mile, Madison Avenue shopping, multiple movie theatres, hundreds of restaurants and specialty shops in every price range. Within walking distance to the subway and buses.
