About Owner/manager David and Laura James
David and Laura vacationed on the 4x4 beach in 2000. Before they left that week, they had purchased a lot that would become the site for their future home. Having built and restored many homes in the past, this new location provided a new opportunity to create the perfect home for themselves and their family. As it turned out, the perfect home was not one that needed to be built, just moved 10 miles from it's location in Whalehead Beach.
Owner/manager David and Laura James purchased this house in 2005
Why Owner/manager David and Laura James chose Carova
This location was one that suited our sense of nostalgia, since the old Coast Guard Lifesaving Station was in sight. When we moved the house from Whalehead, we had to make a tough decision. We had to decide whether to place the home to take advantage of the tremendous views or keep the main entry out of the path of nor'easters. The view won! While we enjoy the views from the deck, the main views are enjoyed from the kitchen island, where we can watch the breakers, birds, dolphins and an occasional whale.
What makes this house unique
This home is comfortable, without being worrisome. There aren't too many ways to wreck it, which allows for true relaxation.
