Our house is a charming and historic 1820 Edgartown Classic with original wide plank flooring and beautifully furnished and decorated with antique maritime memorabilia. You will spend hours in the cozy living room with nook by the fireplace. There is also a bright and cheerful sunroom, a dining room with fireplace, a kitchen with sunlit breakfast nook for 4, laundry room, small porch for grilling and a furnished sun deck to relax in and enjoy the ocean breeze. Beautiful gardens throughout. The location is unbeatable! Beach, restaurants, and shops are only three blocks from your doorstep! We have everything you need for a vacation: adult and children’s bikes, beach chairs, toys, towels, wind screens and coolers for the beach, games, DVD, CDs and a stereo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week a this property. The location was perfect for us. Our party included my wife and I, her father, and our three small children. It was an easy to walk into town or the local beach (nice for small kids) and just a 10 minute drive to South Beach for the waves. The house was lovely and delivered as advertised which was much appreciated. Our boys loved the tree swings out front. The home is well appointed and comfortable and we loved the small table off the kitchen for breakfast (dinners at home were at the full size dining room table). The only thing we had to do was put a few of the small antiques and decorative items out of reach of the kids for the week, a small price to pay for peace of mind.
The owner was responsive to our questions both before and during our stay via email though all of our concerns were minor in nature.
We would recommend either bringing over your car or renting one if you are a family that will need to do some grocery shopping or would like to tour the island. We brought our car and were happy did. If you don't have those requirements you can exist without one (or rent as needed).
There was some home renovation work being done next door and even that was unobtrusive.
We would highly recommend this location. If there was a "very good" review option I'd have chosen that!

Wonderful Home, Great Rental Property

This wonderful property feels more like a home than a rental house. Antiques abound and it exudes warmth and charm. Virtually ideal location in town in an area of spectacular properties, almost directly across from the Yacht Club tennis courts, but also near the water (with limited views even). Walk everywhere. The owners have thought of every detail. Recommend without hesitation.

Great place to stay on Martha's Vineyard

We rented this house in April of 2009. There were 5 people in our party (four adults and one 7 year old child). We found that the house, grounds, and location were accurately represented in the original advertisement. The house itself is wonderful. It is a very attractive colonial that is nicely decorated, has a fun layout, and plenty of room. The house could easily accommodate two more adults and one or two more children. The furnishings and bedding were very comfortable and the house was well cleaned when we arrived.

The yard was especially nice for young children. It has plenty of room to run around, including a tree swing, and was very safe as the yard is completely fenced in including the main driveway.

The house location is superb! It is located on a side street without any through traffic, so there is minimal road traffic allowing our daughter to ride her bike safely. Also, downtown Edgartown is an easy walk, as well as a couple of nice nature and beach walks. We can’t say enough good things about the location. Nicely out of the way, yet close enough to both downtown and some local nature walks. Quick access to the the Chappy ferry as well!

The owners were very nice and easy to work with. When we needed help they were very responsive.

We had a wonderful time at this house and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay on Martha's Vineyard.
