This review is a little overdo but my hubby and I rented this house last summer and another couple and two kiddos joined us. It was an incredible vacation. The house is beautiful and secluded "which we love" and it has ATV trails right from the property. We took the ATV out to town and had lunch at "The Black Frog" several times. We also took a beautiful hike to one of the waterfalls (but I forget which one) and that was wonderful. Overall an amazing time had by all. The owners were extremely helpful with everything. The only complaint I have is not having internet access. But then again, maybe that was for the best ;-)

We used this cabin in February 2010 for a snowmobiling weekend. The guys in our family, nine of us stayed at the cabin. Trail access was great (Mother Nature did not cooperate so well, but that is not the fault of the cabin). The cabin fit our needs well. Plenty of parking for four trucks and trailers. Interior is roomy, particularly the kitchen. If you need something in this area, don't hesitate, it is as advertised. Owners were very easy to work with as well.

In November, as part of our annual hunting trip (#17) to Maine, (from Colorado, Rhode Island and New York) we were fortunate to find this fantastic rental property. Originally from nearby Dover Foxcroft, Maine, and living in Colorado, it has been a tradition for many years to gather, along with my four sons, and with relatives’ in Maine for our annual hunt. This year, 2008, was billed as the last gathering, however, after having such fantastic accommodations the rumor has it we may need to consider 2009. This rental property has it all, first class accommodations, readily accessible to prime hunting areas, and only 20 minutes or less from Greenville, Dover Foxcroft (regional hospital) and Guilford where you can find most anything you need, and something’s you don’t. After we have make our annual trip to the Trading Post in Greenville to buy things we don’t really need, and we settle in for the week of hunting we always stop at Trafton’s in Abbot, where Barbara, the owner, makes us breakfast after our morning hunt. She bakes all her own pastries and all the food is fresh. For the flying enthuses, or for those of you who just want to see some great scenery, I recommend going to Greenville and taking a sightseeing flight around the area, you will never forget it. I would urge anyone looking to rent in this region of Maine to consider this property, it is first class and I highly recommend it no matter what the occasion, hiking, snowmobiling, hunting or just to explore the great state of Maine.

During the month of August my wife and two children spent a week at this rental. The log cabin is spectacular and comes with private trails/dirt roads to hike, snowmobile or ride your ATVs. We also enjoyed visiting the shops and restaurants in Greenville. During the week we went kayaking, we hiked Mount Kineo, and went to the B-52 crash site. We rented ATVs in Kokadjo, went on a moose safari and spent a day at the Lily Bay State Park. This area has tons of things to do for family fun and I can't wait to go back next year. I highly recommend this rental for its inviting atmosphere and rewarding location. It was fun for all!
