If peace, quiet and relaxation are what you seek, Miles Away is the lakeside cottage for you. Nestled among the pines in a sandy bay on beautiful Trout Lake, every view looks out across tranquil waters and toward State Forest lands that are forever wild. With one of the nicest sand beaches on the lake, it is perfect for kids for wading and swimming. The fishing is great too, either off the deck or out in the motor boat which is also included, as are 2 single kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, and a canoe.

You can have a quiet paddle in the canoe or kayaks in and out of all the nooks and crannies or around the countless islands in the lake. Go to the best fishing spots or tour the entire shoreline in the 14’ aluminum boat with a 5hp motor. We supply the gas.

You can sit on the deck by the boathouse, sip your morning coffee, have breakfast, lunch, hors d'ouvres and your favorite beverages while looking out across the idyllic setting.

After a full day of playing in and on the water, you can sit around the fire, sing camp songs and toast s'mores as you catch moonbeams shimmering off the lake.

When it is time to come in, you can sit around the fireplace, simply stare into the fire or tell stories and catch up on things, play games, watch TV or movies, or delve into a great book.

Beyond the great views from every room, the knotty pine walls give the cottage a cozy, comfortable feel, and a true Adirondack essence, so you’ll enjoy yourself whether inside or out. The kitchen has practically every amenity necessary and you’ll enjoy cooking your favorite dishes as you look out at the lake or back into the woods.

When it is time to turn in, there are 2 bedrooms and a porch with a pull-out double bed. There is a brand new full-bath with shower and also a half-bath.

Oak Hill cottage

We have rented this cottage for the last 2 years and are getting ready to rent again this summer. We love it!!! The waterfront is perfect for small children. The open, spacious floorplan on the first floor is ideal for family bonding. Even though it's open, there are still 4 distinct rooms where people can be involved in different activities, but still be together. The property is always immaculate. The owners are fantastic. Never had a problem that they didn't solve immediately. The only drawbacks we could think of are that there are no pets allowed and there is only one bathroom. We would most definitely recommend this property to a friend.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
