PICTURE PERFECT is our home located 12 minutes from historic downtown Waynesville, 10 min. to Maggie Valley, 25 miles to Asheville, 5 minutes to Lk Junaluska.This immaculate house is situated on a 1.5 acre wooded lot with unforgettable views of the mountains and the farmland below. The first floor open floor plan has a master bedroom & bath, a 2nd bedroom & main bath, as well as living room, dining room & kitchen. Two bedrooms, a bath & the large family/game room are downstairs. Fireplaces on both levels. On the main level a wrap around deck provides a peaceful place for dining and enjoying the mountain views. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with a five burner island gas cook top, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, bread maker, blender and service for 12. Washer and dryer on main level. All linens are provided. The master bath has an extra large jet tub, separate shower. Two satellite equipped flat screen TV's, DVD player, IPOD dock, and Bose radio.

Notes: Our house is unusual for the area in that you can park your car at the front door and enter on the main level of the house which has the master suite (large bedroom and attached bath with large jet tub), one bedroom and a full hall bath, living room, dining room, and kitchen as well as sliding door entry to the wrap around deck. Anyone who has difficulty navigating steps will find this house very friendly.

Autumn Vacation in the mountains of North Carolina

It's now been two weeks since my five sisters and myself (ages 59 to 71) shared this beautiful home in Waynesville. Coming from six different directions proved a challenge, but once we arrived, unpacked, and settled into our "temporary home", we loved it.

Since we all are pretty good cooks, having many of our meals at the house was a breeze, because of the fully equipped, modern kitchen.

And we bacame "leaf peakers" since it was mid October and the Smokey Mountains were just beginning to put on their autumn attire for all of us to enjoy. I would recommend this lovely home to everyone. It has everything you need for a nice getaway. We were only challenged by the steep driveway a couple of times in our 7 pax mini-van. Thank you so much for making our most recent family reunion a success. It was just great. Best Wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving to Irv, Cindy, and their children.

GREAT VACATION GETAWAY

What a wonderful place to stay. I searched for a place that would accomodate my husband, myself, 2 daughters and an 18 month old and was somewhat close to hiking and waterfalls. It was wonderfully decorated and was a very comfortable place to stay. The lay out was great with plenty of room for all of us and I would definitely recommend it for a family with small children or teenagers. We each had our own space or we could gather as a family either upstairs or downstairs. The kitchen was wonderful and spacious. The scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed eating out on the deck and enjoying the view and the quiet. You felt like you were the only ones in the area. Easy access to the highway, sightseeing and local attractions. The information notebook was great and full of ideas and local information.

This is a Fabulous House!

This is a fabulous place to spend time - alone, with friends, or with your family. The house is just beautiful and from the windows in the kitchen, living room, den and bedrooms, there is a terrific view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are two wraparound back decks where one can sit and relax, read, have a meal, or just admire the scenery. The house is spacious with an open floor plan and two large fireplaces, and each room is beautifully decorated and supremely comfortable. The owners have thought of everything that one needs to relax.

If you've never been in this part of the country you will be amazed There are lots of things to do from hiking, to shopping, to visiting the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, to driving along the breathtaking Blue Hill Highway. I have now rented this house three times with my family and it never gets old. Each time we come, we hate to leave. As I look at this review, it certainly sounds effusive, but I think that you will find the house will live up to my description. Enjoy!

Magnificent & Cozy Country Home!

After searching the internet for a great rental home in the Maggie Valley/ Wanesville area, I found this home and I was extremely happy to have done so during my second trip to this area. The drive through the country roads to the home was beautiful as we saw barns and farm animals grazing nearby. The owners were really helpful and gave us tips about activities such as hiking, horseback riding in nearby Cataloochee Ranch, and white water rafting! All these activites were really close by and great fun for our family. The house was extremely clean and well furnished with comfortable beds and cozy fireplaces! There are small nearby towns such as Cherokee, and we took a short 30 minute drive to Asheville and visited the beautiful Biltmore Estate. For those that like to cook, the kitchen was perfectly equipped and very spacious. After dinner, we would relax out by the deck and enjoy our wine while watching the sunset and mountain views. I would definitely recommend this mountain home to anyone!!!

Great Family Retreat for Easter

My family had a wonderful retreat in this well equipped and comfortable home. Double Fireplaces were really a treat and it was just cool enough in the evenings to gather the family and spend several evenings reading and playing board games.
During the day we would take nice long hikes in the area and rode our bikes over the well maintained and paved roads leading to this home.
Interstate 40 was just a few miles away and a short drive to Asheville.
